This is the first time ive experienced this symptom and was wondering if im alone or its common.I started with a numbness tingling on my left upper lip then my tongue inside has become numb slighlty almost as if when youve ****** an antiseptic sweet for too long.......just on my left side and now its moved to the tip of my tongue please tell me im not having stroke im only 41??? quite a strange.Is it hormones or anxiety or both...

I would say that this was my first peri sympton - quickly followed by many others.

It is quite strange and scary. Have been told it can be hormone related, but also anxiety/stress makes it worse. The tip of the tongue can also go bright red and sometimes the numbness can lead on to a burning sensation.

Apparently not much you can do to make it go. Someone mentioned b12 deficiency, so am taking some b12 supplements to see if it helps.
