Hi Lisa,

though many women complain of the dizziness and it can be a sign of peri or meno, if your spinning when you lay down I would get it checked out. It sounds like it could be an inner ear thing, you want to be sure. That was happening to me at one time and it turned out to be an inner ear disorder.

Keep us posted and goold luck! smile.gif

No, I didnt have any pain, but I did have some hearing loss along with some ringing. But thats not always the case either, my neice was experiencing vertigo off and on for several years and it turned out to be an inner ear thing for her too. Hers was totally different than mine though.
If it continues Im just thinking you may want to rule it out before you chalk it up to meno ya know?

Wow, just found this site today because I had a terrible dizzy experience yesterday. I was standing with a few of my girlfriends, feeling perfectly fine after playing 18 holes of golf, and WHAM I felt like I was going to pass out. I was unsteady on my feet, I felt like I would fall, the world was moving, my heart was pounding, and my head became hot and "gushy" feeling. I thought I was dying! It passed in a few moments, but I have spent the past 24 hours crippled in fear that something is horribly wrong. I found this site, and it is making sense now! I am 40 years old and started my period last night. I am on birth control pills, so my period is regular, but believe this is classic peri symptoms. I am freaking out, feel like I have been in a fog all day, and am so panicked that I feel like I am going to bring on the dizzy spells all over again. I am so worried that this will keep on lasting, and hoping that there are some vitamins or other things I can take to stop this feeling. I am freaked out that this could last for years - I am only 40, and am very active. Please help if you have any suggestions. Thanks MK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
