Day 18 of my cycle:

Today I feel like a machine that has hydraulics....... for many years the hydraulics have worked well........ now the hydraulic fluid has drained out and every bump grinds my gears and metal parts crash on each other with no cushioning.... no cushioning in my mind to soften the fears and worries and depressive thinking........

Good news is that I had 18 good days this month! wink.gif

All best,
Cynthia

During my bad days I have told my husband that I am a pumpkin that has been scraped out to make a jack o lantern, interesting ,with a forced smile on the outside, all hollow and empty on the inside.-but hey, both me and the pumpkin make darn good pie!!!!!!!

Mine, and it is more a simile, is that I am like a ferret on crystal meth, or like a three-legged badger.......badgers are notoriously vicious, territorial, lone animals who like to live underground.

yep, suits me to a tee....... biggrin.gif

Well, I posted this on my Facebook account one day:

Perimenopause is a euphemism for Satan.

wow, those are great - esp love 'ferret on crystal meth.' i can't recall my many analogies (par for the peri- course). it's like all of my body systems are having a 'ballroom blitz' (who was that group? sweet?) or have gone bungee jumping. i am on the rough end of the perimeno bell curve. or stuck on a perpetual loop of bumper cars. if i can think of the rest, i'll add them, but they probably aren't printable.

even the hair growth seems about appropriate in the clip...

I like Angel's very much: "Identity theft"

LOVE IT!!!

Love the ladies on here! At the very least, we know we can come here and get something to smile or chuckle at!

My analogy is a common one...the good ol' roller coaster ride. Some pretty normal days, then some really good days then BAM! the drop...days where I feel like all I want to do is lay in bed (but of course I can't because I have a 3 yr old, 6 yr old, 11 yr old and a couple of teenagers to look after!) Thank God for my hubby who also likes to mountain bike (like someone mentioned on this post) but comes home and still has the energy to do laundry, fold and put them away! I guess it helps that he's 10 years younger! wink.gif

I just try to enjoy every good day I have. That way, when the bad days come I know that there are good days around the corner. biggrin.gif

I always tell my husband that it's like if your body had a faucet and you let 1/2 of the blood out. DRAINED. Wish I had something cuter like monkeys or ferrets, but no.
