Power Surge Forums > Board Discussions > Internal Shaking
AreWeThereYet?
Well, I'm heading towards 5 yrs since this started. It stopped for about 1 yr and now I have been back to waking up at 2-4am with these internal trembling.

What is the cause of this? I can't deal with another round of this. I couldn't even work for the first 3 yrs of this.

Anyone else have this go away and then come back?

Thanks
little lil
I,ve been out of work for 3 mths with all this crap, the anxiety irrational fears the internal trembling not as bad as it was alot is hormonal, also anxiety can do this . I know where your coming from, hang in there and pray!!!!

Have you sought some form of hormone therapy? I do biodentical progesterone and it has rid me of the shakes amongst many other things. You should at least have blood work and go from there!

Yes mine come and go, sometimes for nearly a year. I think it's just a build up of things emotionally. ~I seem to get it if I lessen my usual excercise i.e. dog walking for around 2 hours a day etc.

Doesn't make any difference cutting out caffeine for me.

Mine been a little more lately too..

Funny thing I was chalking it up to my coffee in the morning, then I read the bad this morning and realized ah Beck you bought decaf... I don't have them near as bad as I use to, and yes to they do seem to come and go. About two years ago was the worse, but I still get bouts of them, whereas I will be holding something in my hand, and litterally see it shaking. Pretty weird stuff.

They are opening a new woman's center in my area, and I am very excited about that. It is going to be thru Holy Cross Hospital, and apparently they are going to also specialize in the symptoms of peri and menopause. Heck will even be able to get a mammo right on site. Trying to find out exactly when it is going to open, I can't wait, hope to be the 1st patient standing in line rolleyes.gif .....

Hi Ladies,

I have been getting bouts of them here and there, no correlation to other stuff.
Yes, the stress of a lingering injury with no realt treatment and Dr's taking their sweet time,
while I remain in horrific pain, and have paralysis in my legs, and the fact that to test and treat,
one of the next steps is to give me a test - which requires back to Hematology for some
super dangerous meds to make me not bleed when they stick needles in my muscles and zap
'em to confirm why. ( tests came back nerve problems, but not why except I got injured).

I say all this because I was injured in early May. I had the shaking before, and since.
I've had it when nervous about a Dr., and when I was happy.
My very strong Faith ion God says - ok to cry or laugh, but I am blessed with wonderful
people in my life, and if I'm stuck in a wheelchair ( which I HOPE NOT, I want to DANCE AGAIN!!!) smile.gif
Then I will be decorating it with pink flowers and streamers. smile.gif

I was nearing meno. Last Fall was my last true period. However, as many of you know,
I have had several lapses when anyone close to me dies ( loved one, or neighbor), my periods
shut off completely for 3-6 months as of 2004. Last Fall there was a death...

But then a few weeks ago, as I was close to a year, I got a period. So Maybe My shaking is
from "I'm not quite there yet"
( I LOVE your name AreWETherYet biggrin.gif)

Sorry to sound scrambled, was at the pain clinic and they put me thru the ringer.

Peace and Hugs,
Mary Beth

HI Everyone!

Sorry to hear you are all still having the tremors. I'm like MaryBeth, it seems like if something stressful happens it stirs them up more.

Today I went to the Dr. to start a weightloss program. They did an ekg and it had all these little tiny waves in it. She asked me if I have tremors.????? WHAT??? they are showing up on ekgs! Mine are totally internal but I didn't think they would show up on a ekg! Has anyone had that????

I swear I just can't take this. I am SOOOOOOOO tired of this and that I am ready to scream.

Thanks to all

PS I used to take progesterone (BHT) but I haven't in a couple years. I moved and now have to try to find a new Dr. UGH

AreWeThereYet:

Heya - Love your post!

Just wanted to put in that for me it is *un* related to other stuff, mine come out of the blue and only 2-4 times in the last year.
They are sooo odd. I was just trying to describe them to my husband last week. Hard, isn't it.
I did have on Dr. who the couple of times I saw them my BP was a little higher, but mine is low so it was still "normal".
But those shakes - have been very rare for me, I only experiences them fairly recently, - and I just didn't want to confuse
things. Like I said in my posting, in my case, unrelated to events. Anyone else get them for no reason,
like out of the blue with no particular thing as a trigger? I don't mean palps - Maybe that was what you were talking about...
Peace <3

Mary Beth~

I have 2 ways I describe them, the first is like I have a beehive inside me. The second is like I am leaning up against a washing machine.

I often have mine start for no reason. Mine always wake me up at about 2am-4am. each morning. It is getting really hard to deal with mad.gif

Take care

I heard somewhere when you wake up like that at night it is cortisol or blood sugar related. Someone chime in if I am wrong or right. It happens to me on occasion. I will get up and eat something light or drink some warm milk. If that doesn't work and I am still shaking and nervous, I put the TV headphones on and if that doesn't work, then I just take a xanax and nighty night.
