I'm not sure if this is a hot flash or something else. My husband think it's high blood pressure. Every once in a while, usually late in the evening and when I'm working on the laptop for many hours, my ears will get all red, hot to the touch but no pain. Sometimes my face feels hot too. Other times just my ears. It lasts for anywhere from 15 minutes to a half hour. Sometimes longer. I checked my blood pressure with one of those wrist ones I have which isn't real reliable, but the last time I went to Med Express for a scratched cornea (well twice) they said it was fine. Anytime I've had it checked it was always just slightly high but not so much that the doctor was concerned. So could it be hot flashes? I've never heard of it making ears red and hot to the touch.

That's the way my mom had hot flashes, her ears got really red and hot and lasted about as long as you are saying. I think you are just fine, although I bet it is annoying.

Get the ear thing too,normally just one and head feels warm but not overly hot. Ear goes bright red almost throbbing.

Same here...can feel my face start to get hot then my ears feel like they are on fire!! Embarrassing if you got short hair and people can see your ears!!

Yes I have short hair too, thankfully it's only happened at home so far. When I go shopping I get real hot, my face gets red and I sweat like crazy around my face, but I'm not sure if that's a hot flash or just being overweight and out of shape, then trying on clothes in a hot store. But this thing with the ears happens when I'm just sitting here working on the laptop.

I get that, too! I don't know what causes it, I just know I don't like it! It usually lasts around a half hour or so for me as well.

It is a hot flash. Your bp might be going up because of the hot flash???? I have those when I am off my AD. You are not alone. Sometimes my bp is great in the middle of a hot flash
