Hi Ladies

So yesterday was a TERRIBLE day. I think it was the last day of ovulation. My left side hurt so much and I had a discharge (sorry for TMI) so I assume it was ovulation. Anyone else experience this much pain during ovulation? If so do you take anything?

So had my appointment with my ND and she is going to run some hormone tests. They are saliva tests. I assume some of you have done this already? Care you share your experience? Knowledge? Is it worth the cost?
I know it takes 3 weeks to get the results...wow!

Anyway my ND feels that some of my digestive upset can be from hormone imbalnce and she explain how that works. Also since my DHEA and Cortisol is high that can throw off the progesterone levels.

I see my MD today about my chest aches etc.

Thanks for listening lovlies....all feedback welcome

I am also the Queen of Ovulation...my worst time of month. It seems to start a day or 2 after my period with uterine cramping and uttermost fatigue. When I do ovulate (or atleast my body tried too) I will have a *successful* ovulation month that can hurt so bad that I can barely sit down. The pain is shooting and deep. It can last for up to a week altogether with uterine/ovarian cramps. This month (3 days after my period) I can't keep my eyes open, have a headache I never thought imaginable for so long and just feel like crap. I know I will wake up in a few days and feel fine again.
I guess you mean your Dr. means your digestive track is effected because of the mucous membranes also being under hormonal control wink.gif I guess that is where the constipation for me, kicks in.

I don't take anything for it...not a pill taker in general. I know the duration and know it will end, so just put myself in a reduced mode in the House and let it pass smile.gif

Is this in general your worst time of your cycle as well? I'd much rather be PMS sad.gif

Hi Girlsmom

LOL.I don't know anymore what is my worst time. But I know this ovulation was painful and I have ovarian cysts which I am sure are not helping.
My period time is really bad as well. So it's a toss up! I get PMS as well.

Well thanks for replying I feel better knowing I am not alone

Me too, I am joining the "club" too! But I've always felt it when I ovulated and it has always been painful, like a cyst rupturing. I'd have a throbbing pain for several hours and then BOOM, a SHARP pain and then nothing til the next month. I'm almost 55 and I think I ovulated about a week or so ago cuz that's what it felt like. It's just terrific! Anyway, you are most surely not alone in this little joy of womanhood.

No, actually I have always just toughed that part out. If I had taken anything at all it would have been Tylenol. Not really that bad a pain to require meds but enough to get my attention. I'd like to think I have a reasonable pain tolerance though. I suppose Advil would work fine in this case if you were so inclined.
Hugs back at ya!
