I went for a check up with my doctor today as I felt that my tummy was a bit bloated. He felt my tummy and said that on the right hand side it felt a bit swollen. He said it felt as if my bladder was full, but I had just emptied it. So to be on the safe side he is sending me for an ultrasound scan and some blood tests.
I have had PCOS since I was 20 - I am now 50 and perimenopausal. My periods are very irregular and my last proper one was 6 weeks ago. Over the last few days I have been spotting on and off but have not had a full-blown period.
Does anybody think this sounds like an ovarian cyst? I did have one 5 years ago which seemed to resolve itself.
