I have 51 year old boobs that have never been hormonally sore except when breastfeeding (22 years ago). The last week, my boobs and nipples hurt so bad. Coming down steps when they bounce abit........och! What am I lacking or having too much of that would cause this?

Have you recently bought a new bra by chance? I bought two last week and have been in agony ever since.

it can be caused by estrogen dominace and low progesterone, which you probably have low progesterone which would make you estrogen dominent, make any sense ?

Mine are hurting and I don't drink one drop of caffiene. Though I know it's been said that drinking that an be a big culprit in soreness. I hadn't had the sore bubbies for a while but it has started again, right around the time the periods started becoming erratic. What a fun time this is

I think I just got over my period last week and it feels like I am working up to it again. For a while they were getting farther apart then on time then closer together. We all try so hard to figure this stuff out and I swear there is no rhyme or reason to any of it. The only thing is that we have the comfort of knowing there is always someone going through the same thing we are so we don't feel so nutty or alone in this.

Boy, thanks for this info. I tend to have low progestrone and the sides of both breast are so tender past few days I was starting to really worry, as it has been a while since I has tender places on breast (no bumps or lumps!). I am post meno but when I did have periods I had hormonal tenderness every month! Just when I think I know all the symptons of this "change" stuff - along comes another one, bloody heck!!
This forum really rocks

Dear 'jhawley'
Sorry about the soreness as you bounce!Mine are so small you wouldn't notice too much movement even if I jumped up and down without a bra.
I have encountered feelings of fullness in my breasts but the Doctor says that this is due to the HRT I take.
It is probably caused by a fluctuation in hormones so try not to worry too much
No harm in a check-up if it continues for a week or more

Excellent advice!!! I've done this myself and it does really work well. Just keeps the girls contained and prevents unnecessary jiggling and bouncing, hence it reduces the discomfort. Jolly good solution!

My breasts have not been sore in a very long time. Come to think of it; I have not had that problem at all since I started the BCP. I allowed my prescription to run out this month and I have been extremely sore for about a week now! I am getting it filled TOMORROW!!!!

Mine have been hurting off and on for about two weeks and I take Biodentical P and T. This didn't happen before I started taking T so wondering what is up with this. I have a note into Pete since he is my pharmacist and my doctor is not in on the weekends. Just as several describe it is just on the outside of both of them.

Mine have been aching and tender for several days now and my nipples are ultra sensitive! YOWZA!!! Today we spent a bit of time in the car driving over a some bumpy roads. Jeepers, I felt like I had to hold them in place to keep them from ripping off my chest!! It's strange but now that we are home I've gone braless for the evening and it's much more comfortable. Not usually the case. Anyway, I don't really know what's going on with me. I'm still having periods with a brief respite back in the spring and don't take any hormone supplements at all. I sort of feel like a period is coming on but not really. This not knowing is SUCH a pain in the toosh! Add the sore, achy breasts at odd times for unexplained reasons and it really is a major PAIN!
