Hi,
I am 44 years old and 2 years post post menopause ( 2 FHS test confirmed it). On July 20th I went to the bathroom and saw blood when I wiped. I am still spotting. Nothing getting on the panties or panty liners, but enough to just annoy and worry me to hours of tears. I have a vagininla untrasound that showed a slight thickening ( 5.6) of the uterine lining. My gyno did not think it was abnormal due to my age. No cysts or fibroids were found. I had a biopsy done and now waiting for the results. they say it could be hyoerpasia. I am hoping that if it is anything it is just that and it can be easily treated. Now here is my question. Has anyone gone though this and how long is the spotting going to last? after 3 weeks of seeing blodd on the toilet tissue I am feeling like it is never going to stop.

Hi Niandra

I can understand how worried you must be but actually you have done all the right things by having an ultrasound and more importantly -a biopsy.
I can't tell you how long the spotting will last. I don't think that is important as much as finding out the reason for it.
I hope you get the result of the biopsy back soon and then whatever it is can be dealt with.
Please let us know the result.

Thanks Janet. I am hoping it comes back normal. Up till this I had very few meno nightmares. just bit of heat sensitivity and brain fog. I am trying to use mediation and relaxation techniques. the spotting is so frustrating. I will let folk know the results. I am hoping it is easily treatable whatever it is.
