HI Ladies

I am gonna go to my MD about the chest muscle pain as many of you suggested...wink.gif just to be sure and safe.
I have tried to talk to her about my hormones before and she either doesn't want to talk about them (because I haven't missed a period or had a hot flash) or she just doesn't know.

Now i am in Canada...who in your opinion should i ask to see specialist wise? Endocrinologist? Gyno?

I have a ND as well and WE will be talking about hormones as well...but I want to hear opinions from Allopathic and Naturopathic doctors all the same. I think that way I might be able to make more informed decisions.

All opinions welcome.

Hi Maura,

I lost count of the amount of Dr,s I have been to and that have brushed me off at the very mention of hormones!!
However my last visit surprisingly SHE was very supportive and ran me some more bloods and said it,s very likely I,m on that road given age symptoms etc.
I,m due back monday and will also mention rib/breast thing to her,see what she says

I think sometimes it,s like smacking your head against against a brick wall,to get a Dr to say hormones,in which case it is sometimes best to just go with the problem you are having and get them to check it out refferal if possible, just to rule out and put your mind at rest (which is a huge part of this) I feel.
I know of a friend who has reflexology and swears by this? I may look into something along these lines. I look forward to the responses and info you get on this Maura

Good luck with Dr next week

Hi Maura:

In my opinion, I think you should start with gyno. I would write down every symptom you can think or better yet print out the list of 34 symptoms here and check off all that you have as well as the chest pain. Tell her/him that you are not willing to be brushed off and that you want it explored. Be aggressive! It took me a long time to do that. It took 4 rheumatologists and about 5 years before I was diagnosed with Scleroderma and to me all that time was wasted because I went without treatment and now there is nothing they can do for me short of new research break throughs.

So be pushy and if your gyno is not willing to help you, move on to PCP or another gyno until you get answers. No one knows their bodies better than they.

Hugs to you,
Jeaninne
