Hi girls,

The last couple of days I have noticed that for no reason right out of the blue my eyes will start to burn as if I have been holding an onion under my nose. It burns so bad that I have to toss cold water on my face to make it stop. Anyone else had this peculiar symptom? It is a little distressing.....especially when I have my makeup all done for the day and wham......my eyes are running down my face.....and yes this happens with or without makeup on.

My eyes mostly my right one gets to burning for no reason. Also I wear contacts and sit in front of the computer A LOT..so I figured that is most of the reason but lately it's worse.

I have bought all kinds of eye drops in the last 2 years.

Medium---I have been in peri for 4 1/2 years and have experienced the whole gamut of eye problems. Sometimes a week before my period begins, I get gooky, crusty eyes that is resolved after my period begins. Onetime I woke up with two pink eyes, went to the ER and was treated for pink eye. My eyes did not respond to two different kinds of medicine. When I think about it, I experienced this during one of the worst time (symptom wise) in peri. The other day, my left eye (out of no where) started to itch, burn and turned red. The redness went away in about 4 hours. Guess What?? My period is due anyday!!! Go figure. I hate to blame everything on hormones but it's too ironic.

Oh< I forgot to say that I also wear contacts. Somedays I just can't wear my contacts because my eyes are too sensitive.
