A hotflash right after a shower?

I have a hotflash every single time I take a shower. As soon as I get out of a cool shower and get dressed, I start this horrible sweating.

Is it just me? I hate this!!!

Me too!! You are not alone. Makes me mad.....have a nice refreshing shower and then feel like you need to jump right back in again 5 minutes later!

I just got out of the shower. toweled off, putting moisterizer on my face...you got it...hot flash...jumped right back in...did an ice cold water splash!

This is a MAJOR trigger for me. It doesn't matter if the shower is lukewarm, hot or cool - a hot flush will come on around 5 to 10 mins after - so much so I can hardly bear to get dressed. and as far as using a blow dryer for my hair - FORGET IT!! I can't even apply foundation as it slides right off.
I am seriously thinking of starting to take my showers at night although after a night of sweating it's probably needed more in the morning.
Sigh.....I just don't know. I've found that anything at all that has an effect on body temp (showers, hot drinks, food) brings a major one on for me.
By the time I get to work I am a hot , sweaty, uncomfortable mess who doesn't want to face the day :-( "woe is us" !!

However - my Mum is 85 and went thru all this hell on earth and now she can run rings around me in energy and health!! There's hope!!!! xxx

I have had that happen!! Then trying to put my makeup on and I am sweating like a pig!!

I now have a fan in the bathroom!!

when it happens to me I just go stand naked under the ceiling fan until it passes (and I'm dry!). Seems to work pretty well. Maybe the water hitting our skin triggers something in us that causes the hot flashes because it does seem to happen regardless of the water temperature.

my husband gets this really bad, he says its his mexican blood, i dont know about that !!!
