Ok,I have had three pimple things in the past few months-but they are worse than a regular pimple and remind me of a boil.I have had one on my neck,on under my breast and now one on my face. They seem to take longer than normal to heal and the one on my neck has left a scar like spot.I never dealt with acne as a teen could this be acne?If so any suggestions for dealing with them? Thanks and GOD-bless

Lady E

I can't offer much advice as to what to do with them unfortunately, but I have also started to get these - they are definately like blind boils, they never seem to come to a head and last ages. I have mine on my neck, on my jaw line, and I did have one on my top lip (looked like a cold sore but it wasn't).

I have been putting some aloe vera on them, which has taken the redness away - but the little monsters are still there.

Hopefully some ladies will come along and give you some useful tips.

If they are like the cycst things (red bumps/lumps) I get on my face that take forever to go away then count me in. Of course I ususally lose patience and play with them and make a mess of it. I know thats stupid and I don't need another reason not to go out of the house sometimes. Anyone know which hormone is causing this acne or boils baloney?

Hi
I had some of these couple of years back. They are like spots but dont come to a head.
Just big and red and painful. I used to put hot pads on them and then try and
squeeze the puss out.Had them on and off for about 6 months then no more.
Definetly peri.

Read up on Sebaceous cysts. See if that is what you are getting.

OH YA..I have been getting these for a few years. Sometimes on my face or on my back...I even got one in the bikini area which still has not gone away. I attribute them to bad diet choices...but maybe it's peri. I do find a hot cloth will eventually make them come to a head or epsom salt baths. When mine shrink back there is often still a little bump left under the skin...<sigh> well at least I know I am not alone!! smile.gif

I get these horrible boils on what is the most sensitive part of the womans body right before my period. Talk about pain! What is that saying, it just adds insult to injury. I mean come on isn't a period bad enough with out screaming everytime you wipe. I read somewhere it was from an excess of estrogen. Couldn't tell you where I read that though.

Lady E,

I don't want to panic you , but you might be dealing with MERSA. Please look this up. It is a staph infection and contagious. It is also resistant to penicillin type drugs. If it is mersa, then you need a specific type of antibiotic.

The reason that I think this is because they are cropping up in odd places and the size. Turmeric is suppose to kill out mersa, but I would go to a doc and check it out.

Although I hate going to doctors, this is something that a doctor need to see and have him run a test.
Again...this is very important... MRSA is a strain of staph that's resistant to the broad-spectrum antibiotics commonly used, so make sure that you doctor gives you the right kind.

Recently, at an area hospital, they had to move the intensive care unit because of mersa. They dismantled it, replaced the sheet-rock, & etc because it was such a problem. Locker rooms...hospitals...bathrooms...it is everywhere!

You should also be using separate towel at your home and don't use the same one twice.

Hope I'm Wrong,

Shebee

HI "Lady E" ... how are you? I've been meaning to PM you and then something will pull me away, and there goes the memory! I will do it now!!! lol .... ok, I have this too! I only have ONE ... it's under the right side of my chin, under where you get swollen glands. It appeared about a week or so ago, it's a really nice big red pimple! (it seems to be forming more into a whitehead now) .. oh yes, it looks absolutely fabulous! lol .... wink.gif It's totally visible, and even though i put makeup on it....it doesn't matter, it shows through! I'm having a hard time keeping up with all these symptoms! But, this is now the first outright "pimple" i've had .... i didn't even have this during puberty ... i had hardly any pimples at all! UGH!
(and this is taking forever to go away as well!!!)

well.....at least this is not an overly scary symptom! lol (for once!) blink.gif

LadyE:

I get these too. Had one on my hip a couple years that took over a month to go away. The last one I had was on my face, right at my temple, and I know it was there at three months then gone.

Maybe a dermatologist would have a suggestion.

Hugs to you,
Jeaninne

Sounds like the cystic acne I had as a teenager and then it reappeared during peri. Definitely have a derm look at them. I have scarring on my temples and across my back from when I was a teenager. They are painful and big. A derm can inject them and take the swelling down.
