Hi Ladies...I am proud to say this morning that I reached the big mile stone....I have passed the one year mark without a cycle. I am thrilled. It has been a long and tough road but I do hope I see I am feeling better in a lot of ways.

I just turned 54 and im still going through the spotting and anxiety but it has eased down to nearly nothing ...i hope there is an end in sight because this past 12 months has ****** big time..
I have worried about every disease and dying thought...lonliness and all the rest...i hope i can post like yours one day and say i made it

LOL, I had to read yours twice... No offense to anyone, but there is an old saying in my neck of the woods.... That dude went postal.... Meaning, well nuts, again, no offense.... So I am reading it, saying hey postal pretty much sums up peri,,, but she celebrated, but then I read it again, and said, oh.... now i get it.... I want to be postal too....

Congratulations! Now you need to do something very nice for yourself. Have a girl's night out, buy some coveted pretty underwear, whatever your heart desires because YOU are worth it and YOU earned it! 
To commemorate making it one year without a period last September, I bought tickets for myself and my friend to see Menopause, the Musical and then we went out for appetizers and drinks afterward. We had a blast and what an awesome way to close that chapter of my life. I can't believe I'm coming up on two years of not having a period and you know what? I feel great!

Being the new kid on the block, I have to ask. Once you are considered menopausal (having no period for one year, right?), does that mean all the rest of this crap goes away??? If so, I got something to look forward to!!!
