I cannot stand this lighthead, spacy dizzy feeling. It has been unforgiving today. What in the world causes it???? I feel like if I would close my eyes, I would fall out of the chair. GRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Ditto. I've been like that for five years most days!! It's a nightmare... mellow.gif

I went through the same thing during my earlier peri years. Magnesium, primrose oil/omega oils helped. It does get better.

I get this all the time it seems like. It is horrible. Sometimes I will be sitting there minding my own business reading a book and it seems everything starts moving in different directions. It really pisses me off some days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope you are feeling better.

Yes, me too...had the dizzy's on and off for about 5 years now. Makes me feel like crap, then I get very anxious about it and end up having a panic attack. I just wish it would go away now....ENUF ALREADY!!!

I've had some dizziness over the years but more recently. I think mine is in my inner ear and I found some exercises online that help fix it.
Mine was worse when I looked up or bent down.

Yep...same here....and I am post 9 years!!!!! It all came back!!!!! So fed up with it. I tried lots of *natural* remedies and nothing helps. Sometimes I wish it happened to men, I am sure a remedy would be found in no time at all!!!!!

This has just started for me again--it has been about 3 or 4 years since I had so much dizziness. It's been coming and going throughout the day for about two weeks now--sometimes with a headache. Can a drop in estrogen or progesterone cause this?

I hear ya! One minute I can be walking along fine, then WHAMMO I get so dizzy I feel like I'm walking off
in a different direction. I'm so fed up with it and it has caused me panic attacks recently too. dry.gif

Found this on another Menopause website and thought we could all do with a good laugh.....

UCLA's Department of Psychiatry has revealed that the kind of face a woman finds attractive on a man can differ depending on where she is in her menstrual cycle. For instance, if she is ovulating she is attracted to men with rugged and masculine features. However, if she is menstruating or menopausal, she is more prone to be attracted to a man with scissors lodged in his temple and a bat jammed up his A$$

Good Morning Ladies!
I was typing my New post on MY DIZZINESS IS GONE! and went back to View new posts and noticed yours!
I have been feeling exactly like everyone else here for approx 4 year! And until this past week I thought I was going CRAZY! seriously....
Foggy, not really alert, forgetful, and really really dizzy, standing up, sitting down and even laying down! I had enough! Couldnt take it any more, couldnt function at work, nevermind even having a shower with my eyes closed I felt like i was going to fall over!
Just giving you my experiences....
I found you guys on here last week just by accident and or By GODS grace and thank goodness I did!
I discovered because of all of you speakin out about your symptoms that BANGO I had PERI!
I booked an appointment the next day with my family doc and took in the symptom sheet that i printed off of here and checked off about 90% of my symptoms, My doctor said I know the answer to your problems! Im going to put you on an AD...I was like why Im not having panick attacks etc, she said no with having PERI your hormones are out of wack and because of this your ceritonin is effected also! She said I guarantee you you will feel so much better...but give it 4-6 weeks....just bare with me on this! Im being serious here....I started it on Thursday evening and when I woke up Friday morning I felt so much better...................my head was actually clear! and I havent had any dizzy spells since! thank goodness....
I have tested myself at work, been grocery shopping with grabbing a cart to hang on to...and I feel AMAZING!
Just thought I would give you ladies a heads up! Not sure if this will help everyone but Im telling you I have felt exactly like you have all described and it is like NIGHT and DAy to me now! I know I have alot of other Peri symptoms but the dizziness was the worst thus far!
Good luck and Big Hugs to you all!

It is so good to know that I am not the only one who is lightheaded and dizzy. I have been scared for the past 3 days!! Just reading these posts has made me feel a little better. It's good to know I am not alone in this! rolleyes.gif

Yes it is scary and I hate that you feel that way. This board has helped me a lot. I have had a few good days, but today it was back. dry.gif Just have to take it day by day. Sometimes I find a good neck rub helps ease the tension too. Hope you (and we all) feel better soon.

I feel lightheaded (or whatever this feeling is) again today. I've been doing stuff around the house to keep my mind off it but it's not working. I am kinda hoping that once my period starts (who knows when it will) I will feel better. Have any of you been lightheaded or dizzy or whatever for days at a time??? It is making me so anxious! sad.gif

If dizziness is a new feeling and you aren't aware of a cold or flu always get checked first.

As for the question is anyone dizzy for days at a time, yes....more like weeks or months at a time. That doesn't mean I walk around in a constant daze, but everyday at some point it will come ....whether it be just slightly off to down right spinnning, it can last a few seconds to hours for me..I just never know. Mine does not go away with my period anymore...my periods are so all over the map anymore I just threw my hands up and said forget trying to figure it out. Brain fog and dizziness are very closely related for me...I have days on end where my head feels full of cotton and when it feles like that I feel lightheaded or spacey, i think that is brain fog...that drunk/drugged feeling. I wish we all could find a remedy for this......HUgs Mikki

I'm not so much dizzy. I am more of what you described as your head feeling full of cotton or lightheaded or spacey. I don't have any spinning sensations or anything like that. I also notiched about an hour ago that my ears also have a "full" feeling. I just recently had central air conditioning put in my house and it's been really hot lateley (can't stand the heat with these symptoms) so it's been running non stop. I wonder now if that could have anything to do with it. I am also still waiting for my period to see if I feel better once I get it!! I only wish I knew when that would be. That last 8 months have been very irregular so who knows when it will come.
