Has anyone ever done the ALCAT food sensativity test? It was suggested to me by my Practioner at Women to Women. At first I balked because of the price, but I'm so sick of my terrible fatigue that I ordered my test yesterday. It's expensive, but I CANNOT take the chance that I might feel like this forever. I'm ready to pay anything. Basically you get a list of Red, Orange, Yellow and Green foods. Red you are highly sensative to and should avoid I think for 6mos, yellow and orange less sensative but still avoid and Green are the safe foods. Supposedly after you follow the recommendations you will feel better. My main symptom is fatigue and anxiety but others use it for headaches, aches, skin issues, inability to lose weight, etc. Anyhow, just wondering if anyone has done it.

Food allergies was going to be my doc's next step if my adrenals and thyroid tests turned out okay. But they didn't so we're working on these two things for the time being. However, his wife had the food allergies testing done but I believe the test was through Life Extensions.
Maine - have you had adrenals and thyroid checked as well??

Yes, adrenals were checked with saliva test. Cortisol showed low in the am into the evening, then it was in the normal range. Also, I showed borderline intolerance to wheat. Have improved my diet and taking some supplments but still have days where I feel like crap, and sometimes it really feels like some sort of "reaction". So... willing to put out the $ for the test. It would be a lifesaving miracle if I just need to eliminate some stuff from my diet!

Interesting how severly allergies can affect the quality of life. And many people don't know they have any so they just feel miserable and the docs don't think to test for allergies.
