Hi Allergy Sufferers:
I am having a bad bout with Post Nasal Drip - I want to dry it up so it won't land in my chest and make me cough - what has worked with you lovely ladies...

Have you tried a Netti Pot??
It's a mild saline nasal irrigation that really works!!! The pot is tiny, looks like a wee tea pot and is ceramic. You fill it with warm water and add salt. Stick the spout up one nostril, tilt your head letting the water flow through and up the sinus and out the other nostril.
It's a bit messy, but well worth it.
I'm sure if you Google it you'll find a better description.

Oh,
i wish I had the answer. This season is the worst. Actually, I dont' think it matters anymore, it's all the time. I just took a shower and came out coughing up half a lung from the post nasal drip. I think antihistamines should help, I dont' see much change. Decongestants make me jittery, they may help you. the neti pot helps me for the moment but doesn't last. I hope you find relief. I can't take it, along with the head pressure. Good luck.

So glad to read this post. I am suffering too. Never had a reaction to pollen like this before. I had a virus back in Feb that left my throat a bit susceptible I think.PND went to my chest a week ago & now it clears for a short while but keeps coming back. Antihistamine thickens the phlegm for me & makes it harder to cough up. I have a neti pot too, but seemed to get more phlegm afterwards - can't win!
