Hi Ladies,

A couple of weeks ago Greg and I were in Niagara Falls( our favorite close getaway) when we came across the bowling alley. It was actually Rock n' Bowl and I was a bit hesitant at first as my last bowling experience was almost twenty years ago! I remember lots of gutter balls and also my ability to "lob" the ball. blink.gif Anyhow, with a little bit of convincing from Greg I decided to play one game. I selected a nice shiny pink ball said a silent prayer that I wouldn't injure anyone and held my breath as I threw it down the alley. To my shock and surprise it connected with eight balls. Wow! Greg told me to spare it up and to my shock I did. As a matter of fact I won that game and happily consented to paying for an hour this time. We were able to play three more games and without sounding like a total braggart I won all three. wink.gif I WAS ON FIRE! laugh.gif

I didn't realize that bowling could be so fun!!! My mother played five-pin for years and is quite a pro but I never got into it. She isn't bad at ten pin either. I had Greg take a picture of the screen as my mother would never believe I bowled so well. We might be bowling this friday. That means I may have to leave Coop(our pup) for a few hours, but I do have to get over the separation anxiety. sad.gif

Do any of you ladies bowl? What do you ladies enjoy five-pin or ten-pin? When did you start? What's your best high score?

Enjoy your day biggrin.gif

My husband and I used to go enough that we bought our own bowling balls. I never was really good at it, though, and can't remember getting any higher than a 135 or maybe 140 something......he has broken 200. Not professional, obviously, but we always had fun! We actually took the kids a few weeks ago and we all had a good time! (Always ten pin, I didn't know you could play with any other number of pins...)

I was on a league in high school.. I was pretty bad.. I think the best I've ever bowled is a 165 ,, but that was a LONG time ago .. I still enjoy it though ! Was going to take the kids this summer .

Having your own ball makes a BIG difference in your game. A BF and I used to go bowling like twice a week years ago, and he bought me a ball for Christmas one year. He's long gone, but I still have the ball. Only go about once a year now, but I love it. Thought about joining a league but I'm not good at committing to social events. My high score ever was 177, but I average more like 120. Not great, but I'm not playing to win, just to have fun.
