Does anyone else find it exhausting or just a pain when one of your kid's wants a friend to come over or stay the night. Or is it just me?

I feel like I work all week I don't want to spend my whole weekend with an extra kid!! DD wants her cousin to come over tonight for a few hours...she was just over and spent the night this past weekend. I know kids get bored during the summer but still.....

YES !! I cringe when my kids ask me if company can stay over.I can barely stand my own kids let alone someone else's kid.

I can't even begin to think of having other kids over for a playdate, much less to stay the night! Especially since my girls friends are VERY high energy and high maintenance. I feel like a real creep, but I tell them if they want a playdate, they have to go to their friend's house.

It doesn't bother me much if it keeps my teenagers busy just so long as they clean up after themselves and most do.

I love having some of my daughters friends over but I'm uncomfortable with some of them. So it depends who she wants over. Its hard to keep the fridge stocked too the way these teens can eat.

The little boy that is friends with my son told him that he thinks I don't like him!!I felt so bad,but I just cannot deal with strangers in my house.I tried letting him come over once, and then my son was asking every day-can he come over??I said no and now I am a meanie!I totally understand.GOD-bless

You are so right and so not alone!!!!
Whenever my son has a sleep over by the next day when our "guest" goes home, I feel like I have been in kindergarten class for three days straight!!!!!!!!!!!

I hear ya, my kids drove me nuts, with so many friends and neighbors always wanting to spend the night. Hack, gasp, wheez. biggrin.gif

I've always enjoyed having lots of kids around. My husband loves to feed them (especially the boys). People kid us that our house has revolving doors. I'm the kind of person who loves a lot of activity and commotion. I think when I finally have and empty nest I will be bored to tears. Maybe I'll look into adopting a couple of Chinese babies (lol)

Yes Fried! It is hard, to be sure. I wish that I had a better attitude sometimes about it...it's just tiring...expecially because I work. I am glad though that they are here and not on the streets. rolleyes.gif

Dcamp has a good attitude!
