Has anyone found Omega 3s useful for their symptoms? I am 45, starting to have troubling perisymptoms (anxiety/panic, mood swings, insomnia, internal shaking, a hot flash or two, vaginal burning). I am enlisting western medicine, starting low dose BCPS, an antidepressant, one-a-day vitamin, xanax as needed, but I am tempted to add Omega 3s as they are supposedly good for mood and inflammation. I would love to hear others experiences. I hate to turn my body into a chemistry experiment but also want to everything I can to feel as good as possible....Thanks!!!
Now I am not saying the Omega 3's are the end all of end all answers. But I love them. I still have anxiety, but I do believe it would be worse w/o. I take a 1,000mg 3 times a day. Honestly Omega 3's are good for so many things, I honestly swear by them. I use to only take like 800 mg a day, then I did some more research, and also went to an acupuncturist that told me to increase to 4grams (4,000mg) per day. But I just stayed at the 3grams (3,000mg). It also does good for your cholestrol levels too, and suppose to be good for the brain, and hey will take all the help I can get...
Make sure it's a good quality, but I would surely suggest you give them a try...
