I was just dx with this 3 weeks ago. This has been brought on by perimenpause.

I experience MAV the day before or the day of my period. About 6 yrs ago, I got my first migraine with aura. I didn't know what it was at the time b/c I pretty much went blind in one eye for 15 min's, then the headache hit.

These forms of aura's disappeared only to be relapaced with the vertigo and or re-realization.

Has anyone else experienced this?

my sis gets this - never had it til she hit 42 then bam it just hit her out of the blue....

Dr. Vliet has a whole section in her book about low Estrogen causing migraines. She has great success with women who suffer with migraines from giving them estrogen.

really...wow! Just like me, I hit 40 and things started to become very unbalanced.

How does she deal with this situation?

Estrogen to treat the migraine? That is really interesting.
I'm believed to be estrogen dominate. My neuro thinks it may be causes from too much estrogen
I actually don't have much respect for what many dr's think/believe since most of the time they are incorrect.

Does this book say the migraines are causes from progesterone?
