Acidophilus is good for your digestion ,, not sure what co-q10 is or alpha lipoic acid .. you should be getting sufficient b complex in your vitamins check it out and you can get omega 3's by eating fish.. I will look at this juice plus and co-q10 .. how do you feel ?

Hi Cheri,
Anything that we take as a supplement is a potential risk. They are all 'chemicals' in one way or another. Even herbs can cause aggressive cancers. Black Cohosh has been shown to be very toxic to the liver.

If you feel great on your present regime then that is probably OK but you will need to listen to your body very carefully. Unless we are in a deficiency state we should not need all these supplements. The body is very good at identifying excess and dumping it out in the urine but that might just be giving your systems more stress, as well as wasting money. Sometimes the value of vitamins is mainly placebo in effect and can be dictated by present fashions. My Dad is approaching 90, still drives and has a job. He has never taken a vitamin in his life!
I say replace proven deficiencies but otherwise keep it as simple as possible. I do think that fish liver oils are benificial.
If you find something that really does make you feel great, keep on taking it!

Yes the juice plus is the fruits and veggie vitamins. Even though I am taking them I still eat fruits and vegs. I am taking these supplements because I am not sure if I have Lyme disease. My test even though it was negative, it had some positives bands so I am following a lyme drs supplement to build up my immunities just in case I have lyme.

Dear X11
Firstly, God Bless your Dad.He sounds wonderful
I think I lean towards your way of thinking.Apart from Omega 3 I take no other Vitamin supplements.
At one time when Dr.Oz kept nagging on about the benefits of all those Vitamins I did try some but they must have been excreted pretty quickly as my urine smelt awful!
A good diet, plenty of fruit, veggies lots of water seems to be the way to go!

Warm Wishes
Elizabeth
