Does anyone know if estrogen being low can cause depression? I was tweaking my dosages per my naturopaths instructitons and we accidently had me go 19 days without my estrogen, and by the end of that period of time i was horribly depressed and apathetic? anyone have any knowledge or experience with this? I am 48 years old, in perimenopause.

Hi Dawnlou,
I am 48 and in perimenopause. I went to Las Vegas for two days with my husband and forgot my normal vial of progesterone and estrodiol cream. I took one that was at the begining of all of my tweeking. It had .2 estrodiol and I normally use .6 and use it twice daily. I split the dose morning/evening.
I felt that I could barely smile in the pictures because I was so depressed. I could not stop thinking about negative things and just felt terrible.
I tried to private message you but it said that it was enabled. Please message me back so that I can message you.
Hugs, Kim
