my period is just ending...have had sharp and or dull aching pain in the right side of my vagina..and it is sore on the right side NEXT to my vagina..no bumps or lumps..just hurts. Comes in waves about every few minutes.......could it be hormonal? if not , what could it be? No cyst there or anything..feels like cramping of pain by my vagina..

anyone?

thanks so much..it's scary

Hi Lisa,

Do you suffer with cramps normally? could be your body trying to just shed the linning?? don,t really know, other than I have terrible cramps.
some months all the time sometimes at the beginning, sometimes the end, sometimes midcycle.

It feels like labour pains for me?

All I know is that I don,t know anymore, thought I knew my body!!

now it,s just gone AWOL

Hope it is a little easier.

I dont know if this is the same thing your describing but whenever I had extremely heavy cycles sometimes one or both of my labia's( sorry graphic) would feel like they were going to fall off.It was a bad pain and scared me.My cycles have changed and they have been mostly light spotting so I havn't had that pain in awhile, but I remember it well.

Also, not sure if you use pads or tampons, but when I had heavy cycles I would have to wear both and I know that wearing a pad for several days in a row especially if I had to do alot of walking and sitting would make me very sore down there on the sides of my VA-J-J.It took me a while before I figured out what was causing it and infact it was my "always with wings" huh.gif Go figure.

thanks...it's not soreness from rubbing though, like from a pad.it's actually sharp pain, or then aching pain, like a throb on the bone area next to my vag......sometimes goes inside...very weird

Hi Lisa,
Don't know if this is the same thing but I've experienced something akin to this before. It actually felt like a sharp, stabbing, throbbing pain in my vagina. What came to mind was hemorrhoids/varicose vein pain. I asked my doctor about it and she said she didn't know what it was but thought it might be referred pain from the hemorrhoids I acquired when I gave birth to my son, who was a large baby. I've not had this pain in quite some time now but I remember it well. It was like a lightening bolt shooting through me. I could be perfectly still and comfortable and WHAMMO! Like a shock it would come. It did eventually subside and nothing abnormal has ever been seen/felt so whatever it was wasn't serious. I hope this helps ease your mind a little. Perhaps you should talk to your Doctor about it though and see what he/she says.
hugs,
Jan

Hi there, I get that too, with or without periods. Sometimes it feels like an ice pick in a centralized area and sometimes it radiates. My partner has often seen me quite normal and then all of a sudden I bend over with a "OOmmph" sound coming out of my mouth! It can be excruciating! It does pass though.......I just breathe through it. I have endometriosis and adenomyosis so it could be from them as well.......don't know if it is specifically peri......next time you see your gynea, bring it up and see what they say.

Hope you get a result, sweets...... smile.gif
