I just heard that Farrah Fawcett died this morning after a long and courageous battle with cancer. I read the other day that she and Ryan ONeal had plans to marry. I wonder if they got the chance.

God bless you Farrah. The suffering is over.

Good bye Farrah, rest in peace angel.

Thank you very much for starting this new thread - where her story was
being followed called "Farrah near the end" I think.

I was thinking everyone who wrote at the time when she died
would be lost in a thread about her illness. Thank you....

She has last rites around 9 am so I'm not sure if they got to get married.
As a Catholic, she would have had to have her marriage to Lee Majors Annulled I think.
But as my husband said, they are married in Spirit.

R.I.P Pretty Lady - the pain is over for you and Blessing for Ryan and your family.

She was something, wasn't she??

Like it was stated on the Patrick Swayze thread, Farrah like Patrick were such an important part of our pop culture. I was a senior in HS when she was on Charlies Angels, and EVERYONE stayed home to watch it. We had Charlie's Angels parties! biggrin.gif A few of us girls would imitate their opening poses!! Sounds so silly now, but at the time, The Angels were smart AND beautiful, and I just LOVED watching them.

I'll miss her.

We are the same age, and we stayed home too. I never missed an episode.

I always liked her and was so very sorry when I heard she was ill. It's been a long hard struggle and I too hope she is at peace.

I hate hearing of the death of our favorite Tv Stars, Patrick Swayze and Dirty Dancing is my all time favorite, I swear if he passes I'll have a hard day and likely cry. Now also one of the Monkeys is fighting cancer, Peter Torke has cancer of the neck that has returned . Just reminds us where we all are in life UUGGHH

Jill - me, too.....

This is so hard...we all need to help lift each other up and help each other through this......
And for Goodness sakes, it does make me wonder about the need for cures and treatments.
But mostly Dr's. Some of the Best in the World have been leaving Boston and moving to India.
That is upcoming as the best place to have surgery. THis has to change.

I had heard about Peter but I thought he was sorta ok it started in his neck but....

(March 4, 2009) - A rare form of cancer has been discovered on the tongue of ex-Monkees member Peter Tork, who will undergo surgery this week in New York City. The 67-year-old oldies legend told RadarOnline he has been diagnosed with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma, a cancer most commonly found in a person's salivary glands. Doctors are optimistic after a biopsy showed the cancer hasn't spread beyond the initial site.
