Hi Lisa, I started taking the formula and I'm feeling jittery, overly angry and wide awake at night. I do have more PEP, thats for sure but I am concerned about the side effects I'm having. Do these subside with time. Have you noticed this when you first started taking it? I'm afraid I'm going to bop my husband one of these days. LOL I seem to have no patience with him when I took it. Way worse than before. I stopped using it and have since then felt better. But I liked the way I felt other wise. Having more energy. Soooo, I started using it again today and I'll see what happens. Any input please. Thanks Chilly

I am taking the Wisdom Menopause formula. I haven't taken it long enough to notice an increase in libido. I also did not read anything about it doing so. Maca is suppose to be good for that. You can read up on it if you google it. I think there are posts on this site also. Just use Maca on there search section under libido. If you have a problem, let me know. I may be able to help you find some info. Chilly

Oh, I also forgot to mention that Femarelle has been known to increase libido. I just started taking it about 2 days now. I won't know for a few weeks if it will help in that department. But there are also other posts on this site you can do a search on under libido. Chilly

Hi Chilly! I’m happy to see that you found the Wisdom, but I have to say that I’ve never had it make me feel angry, jittery or edgy. In fact, it seems to have a calming effect on me. Have you been taking one tablespoon or two?

It definitely gives me more energy though, and I’ve heard my sister and friends say the same, but for me, it’s not a “speedy” kind of energy like I get with too much caffeine or diet pills, it’s more like I feel motivated, and I have found myself working into the night if I take it too late in the day, so I try to take it first thing in the morning.

But I think I know how you feel when you say it makes you angry and short on patience. Pseudoephedrine REALLY does that to me. I can’t take things like Sinus Tylenol or Sudafed. If I do, LOOK OUT! But for me, Wisdom is different. I find that I’m on a much more even keel emotionally, it has really mellowed out my mood swings and anxiety levels.

Are there any other drugs or supplements you are taking that might be interacting? You mention Maca in your other post, and I have read that it makes some people feel jittery. Are you taking them together? (I’ve also heard that Maca is great for libido, BTW).

But I am happy to hear that the Wisdom is helping with your other symptoms. It may be that you are just extra sensitive to it. If I were you, I would take it first thing in the morning. You may also want to try cutting back on the dosage - try ½ tablespoon, to see if you still get the benefits without being overly stimulated, and then work up (or down) from there. If you can get by with using half as much, good for you!

Just tossing out ideas. I LOVE the stuff. The “before and after” difference I’ve seen since I started taking it has been amazing, for a long time there I was really afraid that the good days were behind me, that I’d lost my zest for life forever.

Please let me know if you think that any other drugs or products you are taking might be interacting, or if a lower dosage gives you the benefits. Maybe there’s something I can take that will let me get by on half the dosage??? smile.gif

Take care!

Lisa

Chilly, I also meant to ask, did you find the Wisdom Menopause Formula website? They sell it considerably cheaper there than they do at Amazon, especially if you buy 2 or 3 bottles at a time.
