I have been having the most bizaar thing happen to me over the last couple of months very randomly and always when I am just about asleep or sometimes it wakes me up in the middle of the night or very early in the morning and it's this...It feels as though my brain is shaking or moving back and forth very rapidly especially behind my eyes. It stops when I open my eyes. It scares me soooooo much. Of course I think the worst...tumor? Can anyone shed some light on this?

I used to wake up with a similar shaky feeling,it was if my insides were going 1oomph.Magnesium has helped me,I try to take 500mg per day,it seems to stop the shakes.GOD-bless

Hi,

I'm excited to hear that you found something that works to stop this. I'm going to try it!!! How long did it take to resolve the shakiness? Do you feel any side effects from that much magnesium? I also am very clumsy now and I feel it's due to the shakes. Did you have that issue and if so, is it better now? I can't tell if it's from being shaky or from the off balance issues. Would be nice to kill two birds with one pill.

Thanks,

When I started taking Magnesium, I noticed a difference the very next morning. It was still there, but very mild. The next morning, I didn't experience it at all.

I have noticed I need to up it to twice a day (250 mg in the morning and at night) when I'm getting close to my period. I'll get very shaky and have that restless leg/arm syndrome at night when trying to sleep if I don't.

Taking Magnesium has worked for me. The symptoms still show up, but aren't as intense.

huh.gif Hi angelinafina ... YES!!!! I have had the exact same thing! So far, I don't think i've read anyone else here (and i've been here almost 3 yrs.) say it felt like their BRAIN!....I've read many other posts however, that said they felt it in their head, but not the BRAIN ... and that is EXACTLY what it felt like! It didn't feel as though it were in my HEAD..... it actually felt as though my BRAIN was vibrating, shaking, or whatever ... just as you said! WOW .. mine was a bit more sever though, and it didn't stop when my eyes were open, it kept doing it ... for about 20 seconds, i don't know ..... but it scared the daylights right out of me!!!!! This happened to me at about 10PM one night, I was getting ready to wind down, getting undressed in my bedroom......and suddenly .... POW! I rem. sort of "falling" down on my bed, and just sitting there while this passed ... i was terrified! IT made me feel a little weird for a while after that too ... and i felt this strange tingling feeling on the left side of my head.... at first, i thought for sure it was a stroke, but it wasn't.... it took a few days for me to kind of feel like myself again, but that was one weird experience!!!!!! I'm glad you posted this .... I had posted this a long long time ago now, and I believe there were a few responses, which at least made me feel better, knowing there were some other women out there that had had similar things happen .... but when I read your post, and you said ... the BRAIN....i HAD to respond, bec. that's EXACTLY what it felt like.......my BRAIN was vibrating...and rather hard i might add....

well.......let's hope this kind of thing doesn't happen to us again!!! This hormonal craziness is for the birds!!!!

I had just posted something similiar to what you are going through (although no replied to my post), so I wanted to let you know, I experience something very similiar to you. I don't get it all the time, but it feels like a vibration behind my eyes or one side of my head/face. I get it when I am trying to relax or when I wake up. It does not last long but it is still disconcerting when it happens.

I just wanted to let you know you are not alone.

Take Care

Sunny~

Thank you all so much for your responses. I have decided not to let this freak me out anymore as I am still alive and well and now I can also add that I am not alone!
