I would also check out EFT therapy. We offer this to our clients for all sorts of problems that include but are not limited to pain and tension. The nice thing about this is that you can teach yourself.....the whole series is explained and comes with a free down loadable manual. Just a thought. Trigger point can be quite painful if applied improperly. EFT is completely painless with outstanding results.

My husband is a chiropractor who specializes in trigger points - it really makes a huge difference to have those muscle knots worked out, as far as pains, tension, stiffness and such. He has helped me manage some of my symptoms without the use of drugs.

As far as dizziness, ear noises, etc. I have personally not found it to be helpful in eliminating those symptoms. But everyone is different, so I think it is well worth a try! smile.gif

My personal trainer (back when I could exercise) taught me about trigger points when she found one in my low back, worked it out, and ended my months of sciatica! My husband and I now both keep on top of them when they pop up, and it has helped us a lot. I haven't found it to work for dizziness either, but I know anxiety is a big producer of trigger points for me. Today I found one next to my right scapula (sp?) that shot referred pain into my shoulder, arm and lower back. If you have lots of peri anxiety, keeping your trigger points massaged is a must, I think. It's one of the best practical health tips I've ever learned about! Just know that when you work one out it can hurt, but only for a few seconds, and it's worth it. Get a good thera-cane too for the ones in your back. My husband actually welded himself a metal thera-cane out of one of those outside flower pot hangers you stick into the ground, but you can buy hard plastic ones at places like Whole Foods.

My dizziness is starting to go away, though, with breathing exercises intended to raise my CO2 levels. I have more research to do on this, but I'm becoming very hopeful that I won't go through months or years of dizziness, as I had feared.
