So here I am, its midnight right on the nose and I havent slept but maybe 6-7 hours tops over the past 48, so thought I would be able to at least fall out for a few hours but I've been tossing and turning and flashing since about 9:30. Im just glad I dont have to work tomorrow. I have ambien, tylenol pm, xanax and advil pm in my arsenal wink.gif but I try to take one or the other mainly on work nights, and maybe once on a night off to try and get some sleep. None of them work that great but do help to some extent and every once in awhile I manage to get maybe 3 or 4 hours straight without waking up but not very often. sad.gif At least though I can get back to sleep quicker when I take something.

I only work 3 days a week, ( right now anyway as I think my job is about to expire dry.gif ) and have to say I dont know how you insomniacs that work fulltime manage. ohmy.gif

I keep remembering the good old days just a few years ago when I could fall asleep at the drop of a hat. I mean I could go to bed, read for awhile, and no sooner did I turn off my light I was asleep. If I was awake for 15 minutes I considered it tossing and turning. biggrin.gif I wonder If Ill ever see those days again. sad.gif Sometimes on my nights off Ill fall asleep after about 20 minutes and sometimes less but then wake up every hour to pee or flash. Right now I just drank a small glass of warm milk and honey and will probably play a word game or one of my mystery/adventure games till around 2:00 or 3:00 then head up and see if I can fall asleep.
What oh what would I do without my pc. rolleyes.gif smile.gif

Just wanted to rant a little to those of you that can relate. wink.gif

Sweet dreams.

I am sorry you can't get enough rest. I take Tylenol Pm most nights. I have learned to function w/o much sleep! wacko.gif

My hepatocrit was a little high on my last blood test ( I have been using tylenol PM at night for years) so I decided to get rid of the tylenol and go straight for the sleep aid .. its marketed by tylenol and called "Simply Sleep" ,, and actually seems to work faster and more effective than the combo. If you can get to a local swimming pool that teaches water aerobics try a class ,, ( I teach ) my students tell me how much better they sleep after my workouts .. good luck

Hehehe, Yeppers, I would give anything to be able to do that again. biggrin.gif

didgens, A friend I work with uses that and says it works well. I have to look into it more as certain things I cant take because of my hepatitis c, I have to be very careful what I feed my liver. rolleyes.gif smile.gif
the water aerobics is something to consider. Ive been riding a stationary bike almost daily for a few months but that dosent seem to make a difference, but it is good for the heart so Ive tried to keep it up.

Fired, Yeah I know what you mean, Ive learned to function ( kind of ) without much sleep. no choice. smile.gif

Anyhoo, Ill see what tonight brings. I have to work tomorrow so Ill take an ambien, but aI am definately gointg to do some research on the "simply sleep" product.

Thanks for the suggestions, smile.gif Helen
