Suz, I have a new house now and I take pride in hanging the TP.

Before I didn't even have a roll holder.

"OVER" (very picky about this) but my husband in his bathroom has it under> drives me nuts so I rarely use that bathroom! When I do >I change it to OVER!

OVER.......And it seems like I'm the ONLY one in my house that bothers to replace the roll anyway! Everyone else just gets a new roll and leaves it sitting on the counter....Drives me crazy!

It's really strange this, but I'm always left with one sheet of toilet paper on the roll.

Over please, except that most of the time I just sit it on the tank because the holder is in an awkward place.

I have tried both. Cat prefers it not on a roll, but on the tank in back, to shove on floor and destroy.

My vote was, same as Suze - most important is as long as there is some.

Toilet paper is always placed over, I even change the loo paper at work if its been placed under...

It used to be under but now have changed to over for no reason really.

Makes no diifference to me. I could never figure out why anyone cared which way it hung as long as it was there when you needed it.

over!!!! It drives me crazy too if it gets put on under, which rarely happens around here since im the only one to put it on the roller. Im convinced my husband hangs it under on purpose just to piss me off and hear me yell. lol he probably giggles when he does it too. Years ago when i was 16, i worked as a housekeeper at a howard johnsons hotel and we were taught to put it OVER and fold it in a V shape. ans to this day whenever i go to a hotel its always over and folded! lol

Rarely do I discuss this topic, but, what the heck, you are my sisters of the surge! I run a business where the public restroom is used daily, and being thrifty (as I am), I find that less is taken when the role is placed "under"! So I always place the roll under..........

"So", even though it looks better "over", it is more pratical "under". I think it's a mental game that I play, because I am the one who has to always refill the roles, so I would rather have them last longer.........okay that sounds cheap, but that is how I feel about it, glad this is only a poll. So if you come to my house, expect a "sheet count" after using the bathroom..................

Over and over, I insist that it's OVER. I can find the end and pull off as many cotton-quilted, pillow-soft, floral-scented sheets as I please!

Juliann, I can see why putting it under might save on TP... it's too hard to find the end! Here's another maddening idea for saving TP I've seen at gas stations: install a holder that doesn't allow the TP to roll, and force users to "unwind" the tissue. I usually give up when I have managed to gather three sheets.
