I started taking vitamin e about a month ago. I wondered if anyone on here has had negative side effects with digestion when taking it. I am sensitive anyway and have many intestinal issues. I've been having worsening stomach pain and diahrea. Thank You

Dear 'kackle'
Just reaching out to say I am sorry you are feeling so poorly.I have never taken Vitamin E so unfortunately not able to give you any feed back.Stop taking them for a few days and see if you feel better.
The only supplement I take is Omega3-the fish oils.
Probably some other ladies may be able to jump in here with their experiences'

Hope you feel better soon

Warm Wishes
Elizabeth

Hey same here, I take Omega 3's, but I am also sure there is Vitamin E in my supplement. Never had an issue, the only one supplement I have to watch out for is Magnesium when it comes to stomach upset...

Have you been on any antibiotics lately? Reason why I ask, is I went thru a hell of a time w/my stomach, and it took me a while to realize that my issues got worse after they had put me on the Z-pack. Took me like 2 or 3 months to figure it out...

For about a month now I have been taking Probiotics and a digestive enzyme (am/pm); and I believe it has help me tremendously. I was up to 2 Zantac per day, haven't had one in about 3 weeks now. I had acid so bad that I had blisters on the inside of my lips.... And let's just say going to the bathroom is a much better experience. Also make sure you are getting some fiber in your diet. I eats plenty of fruits and veggies...

Do you drink coffee? If so cut back, at least until your stomach settles down. Watch your caffeine intake for a while...

Well just some suggestions, what has helped for me. I use to be the walking gas company, but not so much any more....LOL

Best of luck.... and perhaps try switching to an Omega 3 instead of the Vitamin E, wouldn't hurt... Everyone's body is unique...

Feel better, sending blessings your way... dry.gif

Thanks for the ideas. Since stopping the e my stomach is getting better. Everyone is so different, I am able to tolerate magnesium but not fish oil and other vitamins.

Hi Kackle,

Vitamin e has really helped me feel better but I think it's better tolerated in small doses. How much were you taking at a time? I take 200 mg in the morning and 200 mg at night. Also, taking it on a full stomach is a good idea too. When I take fish oil supplements first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach, it really effects my digestion too.

Anyway, just a suggestion.

I was taking 400 i.u. on an empty stomach before bed. I'm surprised I didn't think of taking it with food. Thanks
