I know his ending is a sad one, but

I will always remember, Snatch the Stone from my Hand Grasshopper.

R.I.P. David.

A real Icon .. I have my 3rd degree brown belt and at the time the show was on I was really into my martial arts, I never missed a show !! very sad, I hope it was natural causes sad.gif
Fried
Suicide is what they are saying sad.gif

didgens
to sad .. I just read he hung himself
momzoffour
Yes, Kung Fu and David bring rushes of memories from the past....he always seemed like he was actually a student of buddism wiht his zen-like behavior and appearance...maybe he was ready for his next life sooner than planned.....

Rest in Peace, GRasshopper...may you find happiness at the next level....
JZZ
Awww, so sad to hear he took his life. My brother used to make me watch the show with him. (I thought the show was ok, but my brother loved it.) Although, didn't David (supposedly) pick up the hot iron with his bare forearms in the show opening?
msJen
Josh o josh, crap. Just a few weeks ago I saw TMZ bug him. So sad. Must have been something we didn't know, he didn't show.

May he rest in peace. Such a wonderful actor. I hope that the latest speculations about his death prove to be false.

They're saying this morning it was not suicide. He died from a form of Auto-Erotic Asphyxiation. Google it. He was found in his closet with one end of a rope tied around his neck and the other end tied around his genitals. blink.gif

whoaaaaaaaaaa... Feel even worse for his family now that tidbit has been released. Can't the media just let it go? geez

Hmmmm, accidental hanging from strange sexual behaviour. huh.gif mellow.gif ohmy.gif Sadly I know a 12 year old boy who also did this to himself. I didn't even know about the weird phenomenon until this boy died. It is a strange world we live in.
EveningPrimrose
How would you get sexual pleasure from that? -- maybe thats for another thread - but I dont understand why people do these things, honestly.

Maybe its like a "spanking" thing....... dry.gif ohmy.gif JZZ

I heard from the Investigators office that it was likely a Murder
He was found in a state not consistent with either the erotic thing nor suicide.
They are investigating it as a pre meditated murder.

He was found in a state I do not feel comfortable sharing on line, too gruesome and vulgar,
but if you search CNN they had some of it.
It looks like someone Tortured him, or perhaps they were trying to "send a message".

I don't get it either Gez. But looks like that is not what happened here.

Autopsy soon. Maybe we will know more then.
Very sad. sad.gif

Hope he is resting in peace, or will be soon.

Peace,
MB

EveningPrimrose
oh that doesn't sound good, Mary Beth..... I will google CNN - thanks for the info smile.gif

Isn't the media just something else?? My gosh... suicide, auto erotica, murder... and the truth is we just don't KNOW yet. They shouldn't speculate, they should just wait and report when they know. What they know now is the manner in which he was found, and that he's dead. TRAGIC is what WE know. The poor man... all this and his family is trying to just absorb that he's gone. I wish they would stick to the TRUTH, and the TRUTH is they (the media) don't know how he died.

Whatever happened, I hope he is remembered for his work!
EveningPrimrose
Me too, Leanne -- I love watching Kung Fu when I was a kid. smile.gif I agree about media speculation -- It must be hard on his family. The media keep reporting that Patrick Swayze has lost his fight with pancreatic cancer -- it's not the first time this has happened --- Must be so upsetting for his family - sad.gif

Kung Fu Was great...............
And yeah - I agree, the reports that it was this or that are just reports, of course none of us know yet, so
we wait....

EP - That Patrick S thing is so sad geesh. I heard that yesterday for the 1st time.
Let the guy be, he might have been saying by to the cast of the movie we wrapped up

Hi EP, nice 2 c u mellow.gif

whatever happened there were reports that David's boss was warned about something.

But I'm sure there will be news after he is flown back to the States.

I really strongly feel that no matter what,
I would wish him Peace - none of us are perfect,
I had heard for years that and he had trouble with his heritage ( he and I have similar bloodlines ( Irish, Native American Indian, English)
and always being called Grasshopper and being expected to be calm and a PeaceMaker all the time.

Whatever happened to him,

Wishing him Peace.

Hey MB- I got to spend a couple days with him in 2005. Hubby did a show for the History Channel about Hollywood's Greatest Villians and we interviewed him. Well.... I didn't interview him, but I was there. He had an off-beat sense of humor, and was very patient. He had to hurry up and wait like is so often the case on these shoots, and he just rolled with it. When it came time for make-up he said "just use a little powder, I'm almost 70, I'm SUPPOSE to look like this" biggrin.gif He was very gracious, very kind, and VERY witty. When it came to break, he was pouring all of US coffee and tea.... He did have that zen like persona- very calm. He spoke like a man who had been around the block a few times and had figured out what was important. Of course, I didn't KNOW him, but he made us all feel like we did.

I will miss him.

That's so true.
I met a guy working at a Gas Station recently.
He was repairing a messed up circuit board on a Gas Pump.
He was telling me that he had been laid off from a Higher Up
type job ( meno-fog-forget-what) and he and his wife were
going to buy all the NewsPapers up when they went out of business and sell
the "Good News" meaning only good stories...........

Boy that could go either way, but I admired his idealism and thought it would not sell at the same time.
