Is anyone having increased problems with teeth and gums? I certainly am and my dentist says due to bone loss but I take several vitamins a day, calcium included and see my dentist every 6 months without fail. I am very diligent with my dental hygiene as well but just this year (I will be 50) have really started having serious trouble. I am in full menopause and decided against HRT last year and chose instead to begin a vitamin pack twice daily for menopausal women... I know it helps because hot flashes and sleepless nights are gone and my hair is getting healthy once again. Anyway just wondered if anyone having dental issues????
Thanks, Liz

Not yet (knocking on wood!)

You may want to increase your vitamin C. How much are you taking now? Ester C is a good option & gentle on the tummy. But that is probably the best vitamin out there for gum health.

I have been having a sore/raw feeling in the top of my mouth and the around my teeth on the right side. I have no clue why...it has happened 3 times. No change with my teeth though.

I'm been having a problem with sore gums lately. I have to be very diligent about flossing between my molars. Chewing the tougher cuts of meat makes my gums sore. This soreness reminds me of how my mouth felt during my pregnancies. Must be hormonal!

Bookworm, Thanks about the vitamin C info. I do tend to avoid citrus. I am going to buy a supplement.

I'm not really having "trouble" with my teeth, but I've been having this odd sensation in my gums. If you've ever hit your mouth hard on something, you;ll know what I mean. It kinda feels like my teeth are jammed up too tight in my gums. Doesn't hurt, but it worries me. I've had really good teeth my whole life (naturally straight as piano keys and only 2 cavities ever), so the idea of losing my teeth is totally alien to me and really freaks me out.
