hi ladies......i posted this in another forum, but i figured i'd throw it in here too, just to get some more opinions.....

hi ladies...... oh gosh, i'm glad i found this post, because i've been having this wierd head feeling the past two days ... it's BAD! oK..it is sort of like a "wave" that comes over me....when it hits, it feels as though i have stepped out of time and space, and feel very lightheaded, off balance, a teeny bit dizzy, and a feeling like i'm going to pass out ... i have to just stand there for a moment, and let it pass, and try not to pass out! It's awful .... and i can see from the other posts, that this must be a peri symptom...????? I am 12 days late with my period, which has happ.d to me now, 3 times this year. The anxiety is THROUGH THE ROOF right now....yes, due to hormonal whackiness, but also due to other stressful events in this house ...
so, yes, i AM stressed out! Oh, i should mention here as well, that along with all this, when one of these "waves" hits me ... i also get queasy, and pressure behind my eyeballs, like something is pushing out my eyeballs from within ... but now, that pressure from behind the eyeballs is staying there, sometimes less, sometimes more ... plus, when this happens, if i can sit down, i can feel my heart beating hard, and this weird ear feeling happens.....like when you are in one of those very fast elevators that shoots up to the 25th floor in two seconds....or perhaps, when your plane is taking off, and you get that ear pressure thingy .... well, that seems to precede one of these "waves" .... oh man, this stinks! I just got over dealing with another crummy symptom, now this. I can see how disconcerting this is for all of you, and I have to agree, bec. you dont' know when it'll hit, and it has happ.d to me when i have been driving, or just shopping. I can rem. having this type of thing sometime before...maybe a few yrs .ago...but not recently, not within the last few years. The only thing i've had recently, that might be similar to this, is the lightheadednss and off balance.........but this is worse!

I get this feeling in my body as well, when this happens.......as if you were bobbing up and down in the ocean, with the waves .... that weird feeling, do you know what i am talking about? it's hard to describe .... i wish i knew what this was.

thanks for listening ladies......i hope we all feel better soon!!!!

Something like that happened to me today at work. I was walking through the shop when I was hit with this weird kind of "disconnected" feeling, like I was going to pass out, but not quite. Sort of like the ground was giving way under my feet and I was walking on air. I was thinking "OK, just let me make it back to my desk and sit down" As soon as I sat down I was OK, like nothing happened. Very strange and disconcerting. I've also been having a lot of stress in my life as well; probably has something to do with it. Oh boy, are we having fun yet???

This happens to me a lot. I hate it! I'm so scared I will pass out which is one of my biggest fears right now along with how will I know if I am sick if I keep getting these weird symptoms that turn out to be 'nothing'? I've stopped running to the doctors with things but I worry I might miss something when it's truly serious. This is a nightmare!

after you have it checked out by the doctors ,mark it up to peri !!!!

Last memorial day I was playing bingo with my sisters and having fun, when BAM!!!!!!!!!!! I felted a mid back pain ( on the right side ) got so annoying and started to massage the muscle, and instead getting better go so much worse, to the point that I had to stop playing and run back to my house. When in my house I had the panic attacks, could feel my heart pumping so hard, and my right arm got soo weak, but after a while got so tired and sleepy, tried to go to sleep, but once closing my eyes, my anxiety was back again. This happened twice that night. So, do not feel bad, we all have something funny going sad.gif all the times, and without any warning.

hi girls.........

thank you all for posting...... yeah, this is something i've had before, but not THIS BAD! Now, today it seems to be better...SO FAR! ..lol... geez, if it's not one thing, it's another! I still feel that lightheadedness somewhat, but i'm not really as off balance as yesterday, and funny thing is, my second oldest son, had this too! So, i'm thinking, maybe something in the air...pollen, mold....whatever.... it IS summer, and this IS florida!..lol...but, aside from any allergies, I also KNOW it's peri .... you can just "feel" it .... but it's good to know that I'm not alone with this weirdo symptom! thank you!

I am so glad to see these posts! I was just about to post and ask if anyone had these weird light headed/wave ickies. I seem to be getting them now during ovulation (or what should be ovulation if I am still ovulating regularly which seems to be up for grabs). I have been keeping a "symptoms diary" and was able to look back last month and see that I had this at the same time then too which was day 17 of my cycle. Which my cycle is starting to shift again too...goes between longer and shorter stretches between periods. *sigh* One of my big concerns is how do I live like this for possibly 9 more years?

I agree with whoever the other post was from...how do I know if I have something serious going on when I keep getting all of these weird symptoms all the time. Grrr!

I've also been having strange head weirdness. It's not dizziness, it's more like vertigo/unbalanced I guess along with a strange high (?) feeling? Kinda feels like my head or body is moving through jello (?) It's very hard to describe, but it's weird whatever it is. Thought it was caused by exessive ear wax, so I did the ear candling. It helped, but still having weirdness but not as bad. It comes and it goes. I had a couple episodes a few weeks ago, then it was gone for a few weeks. Had a couple episodes this week, and now it seems to be gone.

mydarling---what you described is EXACTLY what i have felt. The bobbing in the waves is pretty close to what i have felt. I was sure i had a brain tumor when it all started---then i found this site and cried like a baby when i read all the posts and realized what was going on and that i wasnt alone! Thank you for sharing your experience. I can tell you that is has lessened. It started for me about 2 years ago---and those dizzy/wierd head things would happen a few times a week---now it is very occaisional.
Hang in there! I'm sure when this symptom goes---another will follow! At least we know we will live through it!
Have a great Day!!
