My last period just started at day 47 and the PMS before hand was through the roof! blink.gif Every little thing was annoying me and I had no patience at all. Same thing happened last cycle at day 56. At the start of my period, I had really bad, nauseating cramps and was just so tired. The odd thing is, the PMS was so horrendous and the periods have been very light in spite of the cramps and fatigue. I am hoping this is a sign that they will be stopping soon!! (Oh.....and the chocolate chocolate chip ice cream was simply divine during that PMS time! biggrin.gif )

My periods are so sporadic, but I have noticed that they are getting futher apart like every 35-40 days and sometimes they are worse, this last month was horrible !!! Bad cramps, blood clots, tender brests, acne, back pain, cravings, moodiness, I literly had to put my life on hold for 3 days !!! Because I just felt sick, I can say that was the worse period I have ever had !! On the up side...My friend was telling me that she had 3 bad periods before they quit completely and she went into menopause, so I hope I am also near the end of peri ...It has really been hell for me mad.gif

Hello, I had a terrible period last month that lasted 12 days and now I am taking progesterone capsules and am having a very light period. I feel terrible and I wish I could just get this right! Iwish I was at the end of peri! How old are you and how long have you been going through this?

Hugs, Kim

Hey didgens:

When you posted this, I did not comment right away because I had not experienced. But let me tell you I am experiencing it NOW. I am way late on period by about 2 weeks and just saw today the tiniest rust colored streak.

Now I know exactly what you were talking about. My anxiety and the dizzies have been way worse the last couple days than they usually are! I am not liking this!

Hugs to you,
Jeaninne

Hey Jeaninne .. yeah .. I have been reading alot more ,, I guess now what is happening is that we are probably not ovulating so no progesterone which makes our symptoms skyrocket, anxiety, muscle pain, panic attacks, acid reflux. when it comes it is about 2 days before my period and will streach at least 10 more days through the period and a little beyond. l-theanine really helped (for 3 - 4 hours or so) but made me feel kinda loopy, couch potatoish (is that a word?),, I did get a prescription for xanex because my theory is the lack of progesterone is causing most of these bad "painful" symptoms they disrupt the neurotransmitters in the brain. Anyway, it does pass .. I have had a pretty great week this last week, pretty much pain free, was able to do alot of really hard things,, ie. move an entire music department back into our music building (with 30 others of course) ,, throw a dessert banquet for 260 people .. so once this awfulness lifts you will feel much better. do your self a favor and chart it.. you will really start seeing a pattern and will know when your "down time" is comming and what you can plan and what you have to cancel !!

Hello, I skip periods, sometimes they are 34 to 38 days late. The worst symptom for me would have to be headaches. The second is a bloated feeling. I quit smoking so that does not make it better either. I will be 47 and I must say that this is no fun, but hey what can you do. I just look forward to the end.

Hi!
My periods have been whacky for about a year now. Sometimes it is right on time and sometimes either a week early or 3 weeks late. I missed one for the first time in December. Last month was 5 days early and I had it for 5 days and thought I was done on the 6th day as there was absolutely nothing there all day and night. Had a shower put on fresh clothes and an hour later went to the bathroom and lo and behold blood all over my underwear. Weird thing is after showering again and putting on fresh clothes and a pantyliner there was nothing there. This also has been a first for me. This month so far I am 3 days late. I have noticed the last couple of months prior to starting, I get a terrible headache. I am going to start keeping a journal.
