I thought that I'd check again to see if anyone has found relief from arthritis aches and pains.

My knees are really bothering me to where I have to brace myself to get up from a sitting position. Once I'm up and walking around I feel fine. It's just that they get stiff when I remain seated for any period of time.

I'm taking glucosamine which helps along with coq10, but I can tell that I need something else.

My weight is also an issue. I know that if I could get rid of at least ** smile.gif pounds it would take some of the pressure and stress off my knees. I'm really trying smile.gif.

The tmj is doing well as long as I eat soft foods, don't talk or laugh too much (a challenge for me biggrin.gif), and I use the mouth splint when I'm sleeping.

I'm also using a medicated salve on my knees at night which really helps, but the smell is just not something you'd want to wear in public rolleyes.gif smile.gif.

Any suggestions

Yes, I know of of few things that are effective. Shark Cartilage helps to cushion joints. It also cuts down on inflammation.

Also hydrolonic acid. The Shark C. is amazing.

If you will take fish oil (warning ...it is yucky!) that will make a big difference, too. It seems to lubricate everything and makes your joints feel fluid.

The glucosamine is fine, but it takes a while to work. I started out with that supplement. It helped, but it did not give the relief that I was seeking.

I have even bought these supplements for friends and forced them to take them. Each person that have tried these things, thanked me and repaid me (in many ways) every time. They have forced others to take this combination, too, with excellent results. The Shark C takes a few weeks to work, but it does work.

I take NOW brand of shark C. It is about $11.00 a bottle. You do not need the expensive stuff.

Once you try it, you will be hooked and push it, too. LOL!

Since starting bios, I have noticed that I have dropped weight and my body has gone into "healing" mode, but these supplements helped before the bios. I Shebee promise that they work. You will not be wasting your money.

As for the TMJ, many times it is caused by stress. Watch yourself ....are you clenching your jaw? I remember a time when I would constantly do this and was having problems. I continually had to relax my jaw because I was clamping down on it. I think at the time I had unresolved anger. (and yes, I know this sounds dumb. LOL!)

This will work,
Shebee Promise!

Please try it and post back to us!

Hi there,

Still no relief? I wish I had the answer, but al I have is sympathy. The glucosamine did nothing for me, at all. I heard about calcium, so I am giving that a try 1000mg a day. So far, so good, but it's been clear weather. I think the rain coming in, will not be good. It seems worse then. I, too, do the soft food thing, but boy, that is getting old. Not even a burger, can't open wide enough, I tried last week and after two bites, YIKES!!! and here it is, burger season. I have a friend who takes a muscle relaxer at night now for the jaw and she swears by it and says she can sleep great too. Maybe we should give that a try. I will try the shark C, I already do 1000 mg of fish oil a day and see no change there, but keep taking it anyway. As for the knee, the physical therapy I had did a combo of hot and cold compresses. The heat to get it moving and cold after exercising to keep swelling down.

I know this didnt' help, but I wanted to let you know I feel your pain, literally (and emotionally. )

Hi MyFaith,
I too am struggling with stiffness and pain. I mean severe pain in my low back and hips. I started taking Fleximin about 3 weeks ago and I do feel some difference. I had an MRI of my low back and my L4 has slipped over my L5, causing a dislocation. I also have severe facet joint syndrome and arthritis. This is causing me some enormous problems. I can barely walk at times and I have several things I have to do just to stay afloat. I have one of those 8 hour back patches from the drug store. They sell them for knees as well. I use a topical roll on that helps called Stop Pain. I am now using a Tens Unit on my back and I started Acupuncture last friday. I am so freaked out that this is from my breast implants. They are 10 years old and I don't have the money any longer to surgically remove them. Besides, I am too scared to have surgery after all of these health issues, or fear of them. I know I have said this many times about the implants but it is just stuck in my mind. My doctor also prescribed a NSAID patch for my back. I cannot take ibuprofin or motrin because I have a comprimised esophogus. Good luck. Debra

Debra, if you are concerned about the implants go to sfdct.com and/or tortcomm.org and do some research. My Mom had hers removed and they(Dow Corning) paid for it, and she also received a settlement because she had Scleroderma(an auto-immune disease caused by excess collagen formation. Maybe talk to a lawyer, too. It is not too late.

I've really noticed the difference when I forgot my glucosamine for a few days... everything is stiffening up again! So now I have to start over with it.

I take anti inflams, as well.

Myfaith, I have the same problem as you. Getting up from a sitting position is horrible for me. So is getting out of bed in the morning. Like you, I get going and I'm fine. If the smell of your muscle rub is annoying you, try Sports Cream. My orthopod recommended it and it's a very light, pleasant smell and it really works. Massage it well into your knees. Helps me quite a bit. I take Advil PM at night and it helps the morning stiffnes. I think post menopause is worse than peri, for me anyways.
Good luck.
Hugs, Kleeo
