biggrin.gif Since May 6th I started taking Vitamin E 1000 mg and added Black Cohosh 540 mg in the morning. That wasn't enough. I added a second Black Cohosh at night. It is now May 21st and I am THRILLED to report that my hot FLASHES have mostly become hot FLUSHES, I don't have to pull my hair back, run for an ice pack, beg my husband to "Get the Fan!", spray myself down with a hand fan that squirts water or even try to crawl in the freezer when all else failed (hehe! Kidding about the last one). I had been recording times and severity of my flashes every 24 hours and now don't even think to do it most of the time. My flashes have gone from at least one an hour (3 or 4 almost debilitating during the 24 hours) to less then 10 and most days I can't even tell you how many because I don't even notice them much (where before they RULED my life).

Just an added note, I was told "tell her to stay busy" and I was MAD at the person saying it mad.gif I told my husband, YEAH RIGHT, when I felt I couldn't do much of ANYTHING I was feeling so bad. Well, I regret/am happy to say, they were right in my case. The busier I stay and kind of weird, the more I am outside in the car running errands etc. I experience less discomfort. My energy level is finally returning (even better in some ways then when this started).

I wanted to just drop some good news for once and hope maybe this combination could work for someone else too. I'd be REALLLY happy if the hot flashes were completely gone but I am CONTENT with how they have slacked up.

WOOHOO is right! Glad you found something that helps! For me the added vitamin D helped.

I have been considering adding Vitamin D and C to what I take. I think with the bones etc it would be a good idea. Geez I've just gotten off all these prescription meds and I'm gonna become a vitamin junkie LOL!
