I often read posts on a popular skin care discussion board/site. On that board, drinking spearmint tea is all the rage with the younger gals. They swear that it helps their hormonal acne. Most of them drink only 2-5 cups a day and that's enough to prevent monthly hormonal acne (which had been a big problem for them prior).
Here's a link to a research article one of them had linked:

Has anyone here had luck with spearmint tea helping goofy peri hormones? Thanks for any responses!
I am not sure about hormonal acne, perhaps the spearmint oil that works as antiseptic, but mint for me is a big NO-NO, it gives me raging acid reflux, as mint is known to relax lower esophageal muscle.
I avoid mint at any cost, even in salads, drinks, etc. or else I get bad heartburn.
I have read spearmint helps with PCOS, main cause for young women and girls to have acne, as they have too much androgens that inhibits ovulation.
I bet it has to be lots of spearmint tea. I doubt this will help with perimenopause, as it has different origin, not exactly the same as PCOS, but if you can tolerate mint does not hurt to try.
