Does anyone get bad ovulation pain??? I am 44 and I dont get it every month (use to when I was younger). I feel bloated, right sided pain and alot of mucas. How come we get it some months and not the other. I remember this woud last like a day and a half. You sit it hurts, you go to bathroom it hurts...uuuggg. And its not like severe pain its slight pain and the rest feels like aching. Anything help anyone?




Just wanted to add I get low back pain with it too.

Yeah, I used to feel like my insides were going to fall out any minute. And this was each and every month until I went on BCPs. The sharp pain off and on for a day would on the side depending on which ovary was releasing the egg. The overall pain was a bit more dull and throbbing but basically felt like everything would fall out if I moved too fast. It was grand and you have no idea how much I DON'T miss it!!! I've heard other women say the same type of thing happened to them so you are "normal". Now that I'm at the end of that road I now longer have that sensation but I remember it well! Good luck, I hope your's goes away soon too. At 44 you are at least getting closer!

I used to get mid-cycle pain - I was convinced it was my ovaries/fallopian tubes, but after investigation was told it was IBS - I presume triggered by the hormone change of ovulation. I don't know if that's you situation as well, but I know exactly what you mean. The mucous is normal during ovulation. Hope you get some relief.

Count me in on this,recent new ailment sort of snook up on me,thought got tummy bug,but happening every month now midway of cycle,been more painful this time and lasting longer,isn,t on any side sort of all over lower pelvic/uterus.will go get checked out can hardly bare to mention to anyone of this recent ailment to add to the growing itinary,just stuff like this freaks me out,can cope with night sweats,foggy head,twitches,random muscle aches oh sinus(near forgot that one) memory loss,temper tantrums,but this stuff gets me down,
just brought some fish oil capsules(read good for this thing) don,t know if they will,but i,ll give it a go.
How come this pain just starts though?? whats causing it? thats what gets me these things just LEAP out of nowhere!!

yes, i get this too ... not every month either, same as you. Why that is, who knows. I get the exact same symptoms as you do as well......

I also get this and it also causes me diahrrea(I have ibs anyway but this makes it worse). It pretty much is always my right ovary but I think our ovaries take turns each month when letting go of the egg. Advil works for the pain.
