Thanks for that link. I just began meds for underactive thyroid & although I'm still tired a lot, I'll assume its the darned peri! Until the next blood test, that is

I have had hashimotos for many years, and would pretty much fall asleep anywhere if given the chance before I found out it was the thyroid. My thyroid has been relatively stable for several years now (Yippie!!). Within a week of starting my thyroid meds, I felt ALOT better. The peri sleep issues do feel different than the thyroid. about.com also has good thyroid info.

That's interesting! My sister has that same problem. She had her thyroid removed, RAI, and they never put her on any meds. She was diagnosed with narcolepsy, however. I have to tell her about this!
