I had an annual pelvic exam with a new doc two days ago. The exam was very thorough and with a lot of probing and poking that I don't recall from other exams. In the last 24 hours, I have developed acute twinges of pain down there along with a crampy heavy sensation. Should I be concerned or maybe he just kind of upset things down there and it will pass? I don't intend to ever go back to him as I did not like him so not sure what to do.

You have ligments down there that when pushed on will produce sharp twinge pains. It should pass in a few days. Try a heating pad on your belly or back. If it does not stop in a few days go back to the doc though!

yeah, i had the same thing! this pelvic exam i had last year, was pretty ROUGH, to be honest..........and when it was over, not only did i feel "weird" and sort of very stressed out......but the next day, and for DAYS to follow, oh boy....aches, pains, stabbing pains, you name it........all throughout my abdominal area, vagina, etc......so, yeah, that is absolutley from this exam, and by the way, I've had other pelvics that were just as thorough, but still done nicely and gently....and NO pain following.......so, don't stand for that again........if you have a GOOD dr.....they can do it just as well, and still be gentle! No need for any pain afterwards!

I would not go back to this doctor, but I would call his office and let him know that his exam left you in pain! He needs this feedback; who knows maybe he will listen to it! (but probably not...)
