Just this last week or so, suddenly EVERYTHING aches. I'm getting muscle aches, everywhere, stiff joints, tingling and burning in fingers and feet, an inexplicably swollen knee. I went to chiro today, she said neck and shoulder is really messed up (I could have told her that) and fixed it a bit but I have to go back for more treatment.
WTF is happening? Why is it all coming on so suddenly and all at once?

This happened to me 2 weeks ago. It was so bad that it hurt to walk or even turn a page in a book. It took ten days to go away. I recently found out my thyroid was off a bit also, but I attribute some of it to the ill feeling that progesterone gave me. I think the progesterone ran down my immune system and i got sick. It was very painful and sudden. Are you one hormones?

Could be due to low estrogen. Aches are common when it is low.

Could it be the weather? I have been very uncomfortable the last few weeks, the dampness hurts every bone and joint and muscle in my body. So sore. I hope it lifts with warmer drier weather coming.

I think the weather does have something to do with aches. Weather has been a bit rainy here and I can feel it everywhere...

I have been reading that magnesium can help. I just bought a calcium magnesium supliment and am going to try it. I find that the muscle aches come and go, they dont seem to last the entire month, about 7 - 10 days then they dissipate. 3 - 4 advil help tremendously. you might also try doubling up on your multi vitamin during this time (I wouldnt do it consistantly) but maybe for 4 days or so take a good multi vitamin ie. Centrum or something like that. Please let me know how it goes for you !

oh .. also start charting this .. there are some that say it comes with the Luetal phase .. (ie. the 1- - 14 days before your period starts),, if that is the case you can better understand what your body is doing. I know its crazy to say chart things at this time in our lives as my periods just come when the feel it. My body for the past 3 years has been trying to slough off they remaining eggs and so I have been getting more frequent periods.. I have only had 2 instances of periods further than 28 days apart once it came 56 days .. and just this time 45 days. They had been comming anywhere from 28 days to 17 days apart. So I know my body is getting rid of the last remaining eggs I have. I have also put another piece of the puzzle together .. for years off and on I would get plagued with these unexplainable body aches .. the were so infrequent I didnt consider them. Now as I look back Im sure in most circumstances they were a precursor to my periods .. I just didnt put 2 and 2 together, so it looks like this is just symptom I have been getting along ,, just exacerbated.. good luck !

I've just finished a period, and I'm not on hormones.
What I'm noticing today is hot, tingling aches in all the joints down my right side - toes, wrist, fingers, shoulders, and a little on the left. As well as the aching.
Got a doctor's appointment on Monday morning.
