Lately, I have been feeling so "down", and that's kind of unusual for me, I mean, i have my definate mood swings and sudden changes and all , but this last week has been "bad"! I just feel so......BLUE I suppose you'd say, so, low , and no matter what I do, i can't change it. For anxiety, I take xanax, but this other "down" feeling is really lousy, and I' m not going to take those AD's! I try to exercise a bit, or go for a walk, or walk on the beach or whatever, and yet, now, this isn't really helping!

Then, to top it all off, now i have this upper back pain next to my spine and on the left shoulder blade.... (i posed this on the AM I STARTING PERI forum), and i remember reading on a very good site, that dealt with anxiety and depression, how that can manifest itself in back pain! I guess right now, I just need some "smiles"...............

I get the same thing. I just figure it's all the tensing up I do when I'm having a shaking/anxiety day. tongue.gif smile.gif rolleyes.gif biggrin.gif

I woke up with a stiff neck and pain in the shoulder blades. I know I was tense last night trying to figure out how to finance my last daughters college tuition. So, yes, tension adds to this.

When my dr. told me that anxiety and depression can manifest itsself in the form of back pain, I thought, "There is NO WAY in this world that I can have this kind of pain from depression or anxiety!!! I was hurting so bad that I couldn't even walk!! I have no idea what or how it happened, but as soon as I took care of the anxiety, the back pain went away. Although, I was having LOWER back pain and I also started on BCP, so who really knows??

my darling....

we could be twins!!!....I posted a similar thread today 'late afternoon blues/depression'.

I am also going through a terrible depressive spell.....whats so weird is that I can be on a roller coaster of emotions...one minute I feel 'OK' the next I am as down and bleak as possible.

I do not take AD's either...I did once (actually on 3 separate occasions, but they had bad side effects and did not work for me) and know that I must have a deeper issue that needs resolving in order to combat these feelings....I did try cognitive behaviour therapy once and it did help somewhat, but obviously not for long enough.

Something I long to master is EFT, as I believe we all have 'blockages' in our energy systems that trap all the negative emotions that build up and manifest into things like depression and back pain, as in your case.....Go to the EFT website and see if you can work on yourself www.emofree.com watch the video, its amazing stuff!

I have found a practitioner in my area that I may try out.

I know I feel like I could do with a nice long holiday somewhere warm, sunny and scenic!

Just know 'my darling' that today you are not alone....I feel the same.

Caz,

How are you doing with the sleep issue? I know you've been having trouble with insomnia lately. I barely slept myself last night.

Hi Ladies,

I found a tea - called Yoga tea that helps me sleep. It contains skullcap( odd name, I know)
and it has no caffeine. You take it 1/2 to an hour before retiring for the evening. This
may help.

Also understand the down feelings- I cannot get rid of these internal tremors which
are so hard to tolerate. Some days are good some not so good and still no answers
from the doctors as to the cause after three months.

I hope you all have a better evening.

I feel for you with the temors, I've been dealing with that as my major symptom for years. I go a couple days without and think, finally they are gone. Nope back again today along with dizziness. Feel a little better right now but that can change any minute.
