Hi ladies,
Well here it is again. I posted last month out of my mind with a weird cycle, now this month is completely different, I'm feeling awful and now anxiety is in overdrive. Please help. For the last 6 months my cycle has become different...used to be very heavy bleeding from day 1 with lots of accidents/bad cramping...then changed and became 4 days of yucky brown spotting with no cramps...only indication that cycle was coming was the leg aches. After 4 days of spotting, there would be 2 days of semi heavy to moderate red blood, few clots, etc. then back to spotting, total lasting 7-8 days. Yesterday woke up with leg aches, then started the bleeding, no icky brown spotting on day 1 but red blood, semi heavy, lots of cramping...on heating pad now. My stomach issues have been insane this past month. What is going on? I had just gotten used to the brown spotting, and actually being able to leave the house without worry of an accident and now boom, terrible cramps and blood. Has this happened to anyone else? My cycles are anywhere from 18 days apart to 35 days apart, haven't skipped yet. Anxiety is BAD.

Hi td:

I could have written your post almost word for word.

My cycles have been so weird for the last year, it is enough to make me cry. Sometimes my anxiety is so high I just want to crawl in a hole. I used to have very regular cycles with moderate flow. Now they come anywhere from 18 to 50 days apart. They are light almost nonexistent most of the time but once in a while, I while burst like there is a dam inside and bleed like crazy.

I hope it helps some to know that you are not alone in this and that I believe all this is normal for peri.

Hugs to you,
Jeaninne

Tracy,

You are not alone...I could have written your post (with the exception of the 35 day part I'm 18-26 days).

We are all trying to figure this craziness out!

Hi Susan,
This is just a big mess, isn't it? I just wish I would have been better prepared for my body going haywire all at once. Had to break down and take a xanax today...it's just so darn scary when you have a symptom for months, then it finally leaves, only to be replaced with another. I was getting used to the icky brown spotting and now the reverse - Yucko! Still on the heating pad.

I hope you are doing well.

Take good care,
Tracey

Tracey,

That's the part I hate the most....I wasn't prepared. All you ever heard in the mainstream was hot flashes and periods ending. So when all the other whacky peri symptoms set in (which are all VERY common and normal) you are scared to death at what is happening to you.

I also hate never knowing what to expect from my period one month to the next...is it gonna be spotting, heavy, light, long, short....uggg

It is scary and I hope you improve as the day goes on.

Hugs,
Susan

Now my period has stopped...nothing. What is going on? It started for 1 1/2 days with cramping and red blood and now nothing. Anyone else have this?

Yes, I am on bhrt and I did not start my period until the 30th day and now have had it for nine days! Not to heavy
but still going on. This is hard to ask, but does anyone notice that their period has a litte stronger odor than
before peri?

tdf,
this is one of the things for some reason I didn't expect like it is. I don't really think I thought then that periods just stop, but I know I didn't bargain for 3 years so far of irregularity. I am also now getting brown spotting which I have seen before but not to this extent my cycle started a week ago and my legs still ache so I know this is another odd one.....I almost never get cramps so i guess I am very lucky there......I remember this brown stuff when I was 12.

My cycles have just progressivley gotten more messed up since the first irregular one and now I can go from 4 days between to 60 between and anything goes outside of that...I have spotted for 6 weeks straight, I have had a period 4 days after the last, I have had them start and stop for days with fluctuations of heavy and spotting in the same cycle. I don't know how many underwear I have ruined and pants and pj's.

All I can say is don't expect anything....I have had 1 28 day cycle in the past 2 plus years....sadly I have gooten used to the irregularity...I just write down when it comes and count from there till the next and how long it lasts, what it did and so on...anxiety has been bad for me too although I had a touch of it before, but not to this extent. HUGS MIKKI
