Anyone noticed that their arthritis flares up when they eat certain foods? My dad doesn't eat beef because it causes his back to ache.

I had been eating fish, no meat or chicken, for several weeks. Well, I ate some barbequed ribs a week ago and I'm still paying, physically, for that indulgence. The osteoarthritis in my knees, pain in my left shoulder (might be bursitis), and just overall body ache. I know some of the aches is because I started back walking on my treadmill 3-4 days a week, but I can tell the difference.

Anyone else?

Beef is on the list of foods to avoid if you have arthritis. The others are:

sugar
Members of the nightshade family: tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, eggplant (I may be missing one or two) These all contain a chemical that causes inflammation
wheat
