I get a sore butt too sitting on hard surfaces, like concrete. One of my favourite things to do in spring is to sit on the front step and enjoy the southern exposure sunshine. I have done it a few times so far this spring and OMG after a short time my poor butt hurt!! I even considered getting a pillow to sit on!!
I guess it is time for us to start some butt specific exercises!! I tried to do some not long ago, with weights, and I couldn't even budge the weight!! So I am walking for now, and will try the weight work a little later.

I want to tell you that I have big pillows, but at the same time I think is my pillows the cause of my back pain? or my pelvic muscle. If I sit or stay on my feet to long , my a$$ will hurt like hell. I worked as data entry for 9 years and my very last year was pure hell, cause couldn't stant be on my pillows the whole day. If you talk about pain, this is a pains in the a$$ really bad

And that's why I'm not taking long trips anymore.

I wold love to hava plastic surgery to reduce it, I think this is similar as when you have to much breast,

Well I'm very imbalanced cause I don't have much breast, but just this big olde pillows.

I've been coming to P-S since 2003, and this is absolutely the first time I've seen a post on "ass ache."
But yes, throw it onto the list of perimenopausal symptoms!

Hey I've heard about those

...don't some of the rich and famous wear those things! I remember they were pretty popular when Jennifer Lopez first came on the scene, everyone trying to get their butt to look somewhat like hers...

i indeed had a pair of cheap, padded panties, the one side with the cushiony insert kept moving and slipping, therefore, my ass was not symetrical..........omg!

That might be a problem to have one butt cheek in the middle and one to the right!

I have had 'AA' for years!!!! I'm glad I have company

Sitting on hard surfaces can sometimes hurt , and I constantly have to 'adjust'. Same with trying to do certain yoga poses. Cushy goooooood.
