Just wondering if anyone else gets the blistery type acne on face, neck & behind ears?I hate it so bad. I have been dealing with it for quite some time. I wash my face & use moisturizer but?I was using proactiv for years and it always worked on my face & kept the acne away. Now nothing works. The acne actually hurts. It will go away and then flares up all at once on my neck & behind my ears mostly. I mean I don't look like a nastey zit head running around, but I'm just not used to this change in my skin?
Just wondering if there are any others with this & what works on your face to get rid of it.

Amber have you seen a dermatologist? Maybe your hormones are going wacko and your normal facial routine isn't working. It happened to me, but didn't last long. When I hear blisters I think of rosacea -- I just have the redness and veins on my face not the blisters and zits type. Google it and see what you get, also view images as well.
HTH good luck!

I DO! I've had this acne junk bad for years now. I have the red ones, white ones, cyst ones, big ones, small ones. I look like that nasty zit head quite often! LOL It's been an ongoing battle. I've tried over the counter stuff and nothing. It impacts my life a lot. I won't go out a lot of days because my face is such a mess. When I do want to go out I spend a lot of time picking dry skin and scabs off. I would also like suggestions for over the counter things that I may not have tried. My insurance won't cover dermatologist visit or prescriptions. I have seen one in the past but anything I tried made things worse, more really dry skin which caused more acne.

Amber- I was thinking of trying the Proactiv but if it's not working for you right now, maybe I shouldn't?

The biggest thing that helped my son's acne was when he stopped eating all dairy products. Most of it cleared right away. He controls the rest of it with Persagel 10% bezoyl peroxide cream. He uses A LOT of it. He will go through at least a tube a week on his face. The trick is to saturate your skin with it at night before bed. Be careful as it will bleach out fabrics it comes in contact with... but it works. You might need to build up to using that much because it is drying.

Maybe I should rephrase, blistery with cystic type?I was researching it and it seems they call it cystic acne
