No details required biggrin.gif ... but are they on your face? Do you smoke??
Floater
Heat and tea tree oil. Also to bring them to a head you can take the skin on the inside of a raw egg and place it on the boil and leave it there until it dries up. But I think heat and tea tree oil is the best.
Fried
Can't really help but I swear I get boil like zits!! OUCH!!!!!!!
MyFaith
Leanne, it's not on my face rolleyes.gif, and I don't smoke biggrin.gif.

Floater, I have heard about the egg remedy and actually thought about trying it today. I think I'll give it a try. I also have some tea tree oil. Do I cover the boil after applying the tea tree oil?

Sorry had to ask biggrin.gif ..... a long hot bath will help draw it to a head. It might take a couple of baths.

My Faith yes I have had them mostly on my inner thigh, ouch, also my brothers have had them they are truck drivers probably because they sit for hours at a time.

I do have some home remedies but you have to be patient when trying home alternative stuff ok?

Yes the heat and the tea tree oil are great. Oh yeah my dad also use to get them.

Ok so you get a clean paper towel or clean very clean cloth. Now get some Mortons Kosher salt, if you only have regular thats fine.
Ok now you need to get the water running pretty warm almost hot, as warm or hot as you can tolerate without burning yourself. Get the cloth wet not dripping but wet with the hot water, add the salt, I know sounds nuts but it works it brings it naturally to a head salt is a natural cure, now carefully testing the heat of the cloth apply to the boil, HOLD IT AS LONG AS YOU CAN.

When the heat is gone gently rinse off the salt, I put a bandaid on it while walking around in the day when its on my innner leg.
Now you can then later follow up with some lovely oregano oil, you wont believe how awesome this stuff is and it doesnt burn as much as the tea tree oil, but both are great.
.
I repeat this a couple times a day til its gone. Funny thing is since I have been taking probiotics I seem not to have had any more episodes and trust me they were often as I liked.

I sure hope you try it, let me know how it works.
Now if you dont want to do any of this Rite aid sells something lovely called BOILEASE and its a salve and it works wonders to.

God bless you and take care my freind
Tinksthewitchdocter laugh.gif not really I try and do it naturally by faith and a lot of reading

Thank you, thank you, thank you again ladies for these remedies. I started with the tea tree oil and the boil is shrinking. Tinky, I will also try your remedy with the salt once I locate the Kosher Salt. Maybe the boil will be gone by then. I've also been soaking in epsom salt. I thank God for you ladies! smile.gif
enough
I have no stories about what to do, but just know I am thinking of you and hope it clears up quickly.

This isn't exactly a "home remedy", but there is some stuff called Boil-Eze that you can get at the drug store.

I would really reconsider taking the antibiotics though. The boils may not be a skin thing but sometihng in your system. That's what happened to me. Back in 2004 I got several boils, one after another and then several at once on my back and under my arms. The doctor checked my blood and it turned out that I had something called MRSA -- Methycillin Resistant Staphaceoccus Areus, or something like that. Anyway, it's pretty bad and can cause serious health problems. Not saying you have it, but it would be good to make sure.

Thanks for the info. My dr. took a look at it and although she did not give me the medical name she did say it's like a pimple. She also said a lot of people get this and it's difficult to get rid of and people usually get it lanced when they get tired of dealing with it. I might end up taking the antibiotic, but I want a second opinion and will discuss this with my family doctor. The tea tree oil has caused the boil to shrink. smile.gif

Something I forgot about in my last post was using hot wet compresses on the boils will draw them out and open them up. Take a washcloth and soak it in as hot of water as you can stand. Hold it against the boil for a minute or so, until the washcloth cools some. I usually repeated this for 5 minutes or so. By the next day, there should be a head on it -- may even open up itself. Depending on the size of the boil, you might only need one treatment or several. But it's always worked for me. Also, if the boils are giving you a lot of pain, a regular pain reliever like Advil works wonders. So many people don't think to take painkillers for such things -- only headaches, muscle aches, etc. I even take pain relievers for sore throats!

Anyway, I can totally relate on how miserable you must be. Hopefully you can get this taken care of and not worry about it anymore. Took me about a year and several rounds of antibiotics before mine finally cleared up.

Good luck!

Glad it is getting better I would caution you on only taking the antibiotic if you really feel its the best decision for you because antibiotics do kill your freindly bacteria in the gut ohmy.gif
I would continue with the tea tree oil, do try the regular salt on the hot cloth treatment the salt has its own healing properties as the tea tree oil and let the body heal itself.

God bless you

PS if you do take the med please be sure to eat plenty of yogurt or take probitotics now remember once I started these two things I havent had another boil in probably over 2 years rolleyes.gif

Go to www.earthclinic.com. There are many testimonials for turmeric for boils. I don't know the specifics but apparently it works well for most who have tried it.

Hi!

I had a friend who got them at her jeans line - near the snap....she swore by Drawing Salve from the Vermont Country Store.
It's a icky thing - but worked.

I also heard most boils are Staph infection based. There are ways to keep them down - wipe areas prone to them
with stuff they now sell in CVS for Staph infections on the Skin.
My husband swears by the MOST effective ( he was militar)and that is iodine - we bot have had that work.
Also - keeping your immune system in check with Vitamin d3 ( CHolecalciferol) and PB8 (yogurt type bacterias) helps a LOT to prevent.

Good luck, I know they hurt!

love,

Stop eating dairy anything ,, milk, soft cheeses, yougurt etc... I'd avoid wheat for a while too. then start taking acidopholius ,, you can get this at your local store or helth food market in pill form.

Thank you ladies for all of these remedies smile.gif. My primary care physician said that it's not a boil instead it is a cyst that will have to be removed.

Anyone every heard of such?

My brother had something called a ganglion cyst on his face. It's a cyst that has extensions-like growths. He had it removed years ago and it never came back.

I had a co-worker with one of these - mid-back - was removed, back to work the next day,
a little sore, never came back - 20 years ago.
My dermatologist had done these...he says they are not really a big deal - of course there may be exceptions like where they are are
things.
