HI I BEEN ON ZOLOFT FOR A YEAR A HALF NOW I WAS HAVING BAD ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION PRIOR, NOW THAT I AM ON AD I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER WITH THE ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION, BUT ONE BIG PROBLEM I AM HAVING BAD ANGER AND HATRED. HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED THIS FROM THEIR AD? I DON,T PLAN ON QUITTING IT ANYTIME SOON I HATE TO SAY THIS BUT I WILL TAKE ANGER OVER ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION ANYTIME. I GUESS I BETTER LEARN TO RELAX AND CONTROL THIS PROBLEM. blink.gif

It is confusing. ADs affect people differently. I've been on different ones during the years and found I could only take Prozac. There were some of them that made me feel hostile and off the wall. You said you've been on Zoloft for a year and a half, have you been dealing with the anger for all that time? If so maybe you should try a different one. It could also be a phase where you are going through mood swings. Most of my mood swings are more irritability and frustration and anger. I know when I'm irritable, and impatient (a lot lately) it leads to anger. Wish I could help you more but I'm sure one of the ladies that are more knowledgeable about hormones and ADS will tell you more.
Hang in there

Dear'lizardlover'
My only experience with Ads is also Prozac, which definitely works for me.
Maybe the hatred and anger is coming from deep inside and you now feel more able to express your feelings.I was always the type to 'shut up' just to keep the peace and it led to stored up anger.I have found that Yoga and some extra walking helps me to de-compress.

I don't know if you are on any Hormonal supplements because if you are not, mood swings are very common even whilst taking the AD.However,if this continues to be a real problem for you and disrupts your life and relationships it might be wise to consider Therapy.
Wishing you all the best.
Please keep us posted.
God Bless

Are you suppressing your anger? Does it relate to things going on inside your home? Like having to deal with mil. I have always suppressed my anger, but I'm finding that when I do, it affects ME rather than the person I'm angry with. It's gonna come out one way or another.

I actually got off my bus the other day, when I came to a stop light, walked back to the car that turned directly into my lane, within inches of my HUGE tires that would have crushed her like a little match box car and said, "Lady, do you know how close you just came to getting yourself killed???"

I was almost shaking from the anger and I had to get it out. She, of course, blamed the person in front of her.

If I had looked away for even a split second, they would have all been dead. I had to turn into the grassy median briefly which was a downhill slope and if I had had to actually go into it, I have no doubt that my bus would have tipped over.

This was a one time incident.

It's the day in and day out foxes that spoils the vine!

It was very easy for me to confront this lady, not so easy when it's a daily issue.

It get's so tiring and drags us down to the ground.
