The other day, I went to the bathroom and noticed that this area was a bit tender after wiping down there. Now, two days later it feels like it is on fire. I took a mirror and it almost looks like I have a red swollen vein on my labia near the vaginal opening. Very, very tender and the pain is only on the outside. I am almost sick, because about two years ago I went through a period of non-stop pain for almost 10 months, which then mysteriously disappeared. I am hoping this is not another bout of unexplainable pain. My last gyno prescribed some compounded vaginal cream which did nothing for it. I really don't want to make an appointment and have the same old "it's nothing, just a little dryness, why are you even here?" song and dance routine. I'm feeling really stressed over this as I felt I was finally getting a grip on my hormones and mind again, could really use some support. It's a really constant burning kind of pain. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I would suggest buying some vagisil,it really helped my last bout of vaginal burning, also take a warm sitz bath with apple cider vinegar(about 2 cups per 1/4 tub full of water)the vinegar is very soothing for that area.Wear white cotton underwear, and get some of those wet wipes instead of toilet paper.Hope you get some relief.GOD-bless

I WAS WONDERING DO YOU HAVE A LUMP THERE TOO? COULD POSSIBLY BE A BARTHOLIN CYST. WHICH I HAD ONE REMOVE IT BURN TOO. A HOT SITZ BATH HELPS THE PAIN. SEE A DOCTOR IF IT DON'T GET BETTER LOTS OF LUCK TERRY

Thank you ladies for your suggestions. I will try them. I'm also going to look up Bartholian cysts. I've seen that mentioned in some other old threads. It does almost look like it is raised down there, but I don't know if it is just swollen or what. I've never paid so much attention to that area until now.
